So it looks like the demons are also going to be the good guys. As is always when a series does this kind of thing I have to ask if both sides are the good guys then why the hell is there a war going on? If neither side wants to fight why are they fighting? What are they fighting over?

My guess is the flying castle probably stirring things up and dropping off both useful humans and trouble makers. Also I think it is a stretch to call either side "good guys" at this point but the Demon is certaintly in the wrong. This is still apparently a village full of normal people she just poisoned but at best she is trying to shoo them away from the area.

It seems like the demon is attacking simply because she dislikes that the other side is handling a medical situation better than they are. I initially didn't think the demons would have anything to do with the weeds or the milk disease, but based on the demon girl's reaction to everything, it actually DOES seem like she attempted to poison and kill the people in the town with the weeds (unless they left the area).

I'm not sure what the deal is on her end, but so far she seems pretty scummy.

If neither side wants to fight why are they fighting? What are they fighting over?
Isn't that usually the case for war? Usually there isn't some cut-and-dry villain in a war. WWII may have had Nazi Germany and Japan, but WWI didn't really have anyone you could say was clearly in the right or wrong, both sides were just sort of caught up in a load of politics and military agreements that dragged everyone down and around.

I know that's the case in real life but it's very rare in manga for there not to be an evil side in a war. And at the end of the day war needs to be fought over something be it resources or religious beliefs. There needs to be some motivation for the war to happen. Wars don't just happen.

Disagree. The Ottoman Empire who didn't have any defence agreements joined the war to gain land and resources. The fallout of their stupidity still haunts the world today.

Also, didn't the demon lady give them warning to flee because of danger present and the humans ignored her? I get the feeling that she's upset that her people and others receive no help yet humans get divine intervention.
