I don't get it: why make the main character summoned from another world if you change his name, kill the other migrators and make him live there long enough that his past life doesn't matter anymore, if the sacred sword can manifest even inside the natives?
If he and his now dead companions were natives it would've been the same story.
Was it to get the isekai tag on a technicality and get more chances to be serialized? Quadridimensional SEO tactics.

And finally, a breath of fresh air—it's rare to see an isekai story without a "hero's party" that sucks. I really enjoyed this story, and it's great to see it translated.

Ok... I totally thought the captain was sorting the monsters like an inventory screen. I think I've read too many isekai or something.

Theres a few mangas like that where the summoned hero thing or even reincarnation feels just wedged in with no rhyme or reason.

Probably some form of corporate checklist in the manga industry to tick off.

Plot twist, that girl is adopted or born from isekai couple.:lul:
In short, you can make reasons for why it happened, I will let the plot THICCKEN before saying anything about this manga.
As for now, MC is only as interesting as a big dicc boi in NTR manga.

He's been using these skills and defending the kingdom for 20 year or so, but when we're watching he suddenly has shaky hands and is doubting himself?
I'd understand him being nervous about leaving his comfort zone, but it's another thing when he's just doing his usual routine of protecting the kingdom from the tower. It just seems forced, to hype up his self doubt in a contrived way. :pout:

On another note, I appreciate that no one was harsh on him for being the deadweight. Everyone was understanding and kind -- usually one dude would call him out while making 'le evil face' and exile him. :dogkek:

What if the other heroes are still alive and this is just an elaborate plan to kick MC out of the party? Lol

So, MC also had a holy sword manifested from his body, but he couldn't use it. I'm assuming his bow is just a regular bow, not a holy weapon?
MC being an archer is rare, so I hope he will continue using bow.

He'll learn to shoot swords from his bow.

I think the people of this world may suffer from severe memory or intelligence issues, so him being from another world means he is capable of remembering events that happened more than 5 years ago and/or possesses a fragment of basic common sense and reason.
It also makes the girls ability to remember being rescued as a child especially poignant.

The evidence that supports my theory is:
  • The MC has been protecting the city for 20 years from that hill tower.
  • The guards and knights know someone has been protecting the city for the last 20 years from that hill tower.
  • The guards (and probably some knights) see a now 40 year old man with a bow climb up to the hill tower every day for the last 20 years.
  • The guards and knights believe the MC (at around 40) is too old to be the one protecting the city meaning they must suspect the person is actually under 30, which would mean the "real" person they believe in must have started protecting the city from at least 10 years old or younger.
    • If you assume the guards are thinking about the usual teenager protagonist then that would mean they suspect the person started protecting the city 5 years before they were even born.
