Yeah, it's like the author finally learned how to write a dynamic and interesting character arc for Zect but then just falls back into the usual OP self insert cardboard cutout for Ceres where he has no personality and everything is just handed to him. Nothing Ceres has was earned by him, he was placed into this world with his OP magic and abilities. He lost against the dragon but through some bullshit Deus Ex Machina the dragon goes "Oh well I guess I cheated so here you can have my liver which will make you even stronger".

The only reason the MILFs all follow him is because every other male character is a piece of shit and NOT because Ceres actually earned their favor beyond simply not being their husbands (and actually liking older women, such a high bar). Zect is a dumbass kid, of course he'd be smug and want to kick out someone he would view as a threat to his veritable harem of young girls. Ceres isn't much better, he stole his harem of hot older girls from a bunch of dudes he claimed to "respect". The only reason Ceres gets a pass is because his chosen concubines are considered third class citizens in that society (how convenient for the author).

The irony is that Zect is a significantly more compelling character than Ceres is and yet he's a character we're supposed to enjoy watching suffer as some sort of comeuppance and schadenfreude. I genuinely can't tell if the author just really wants to write a real story with Zect but has to shove Ceres in there to sell books or if they are just that tone deaf and don't realize that characters like Zect who are flawed and have depth are just better for story telling and the trivial "everything always works out" characters you see in typical derivative Isekai are in fact bad.

the thing with the series is it uses the same tropes that every other trash isekai does, but the main gimmick is that the MC is milf enjoyer and as he actually had a good life in his past he doesn't give 2 shits about the world, because even when he got fired for dumb reasons and they immediately regreted he could have told them they were useless without him and told them what to do to prevent future problems, but as he didn't gave a single f*ck he just leaves.

One thing at least, and author really make a workaround about it, Ceres didn’t stole a single woman of his group from the people he "respected", he speedruns it, but all of them were in not happy marriages after time and the author even made them more douchier so they also didn't care much about leaving their wives with Ceres, and they got a younger girl for them.

The problem here is after all of that the author decides after the early stages to make the "villain" compelling and give him a redemption arc... in this silly tropey isekai story, if he made a story about Zect or any other rival in a tropey story like this it could have worked wonders, like Zect is getting the Villaines from games redemption route that it's already a subgenre already (Bakarina ftw), but again he's getting that kind of actual interesting route in... a manga about getting milfs. I don't even care about the dragon parts, he was already OP by the world standards that's just even more lazy writting.

Why spend all that time making him the bad guy, and making him look like a complete douche, if he was going to just apply the power of friendship and make everything all better? i could be wrong but from what i gather so far,

Zect Road is full of challenges, he really got struck hard in his life. I think I remember (correct me if I'm wrong)when Zect and his party challenged the demon lord for the first time, he almost got killed by the demon king and his party members got their limbs cut off I think, and the current sword saint got so traumatized that she can't even lift or touch a sword for a while. In the end, Zect and his party's status as heroes was revoked and they returned to their village. Zect and his party member finally found that Ceres had been banging their mom. the hero party (the ladies) begs Ceres to join him again but Ceres refuses and only sees them as his children. Now here's the bad part. after their return, the MILFs punish their kids but their punishment is kinda gone into bullying to the point you start to feel bad for those kids and lose some sympathy for those MILFs (since I remember those kids sin only to kick Ceres out of the party and that's pretty much about it). after this Zect went solo and tried to grind his experience. he dismissed his party members because he was afraid to endanger them again In his second journey. He spent his time in slums helping other people in need, like healing sick poor people who could not afford healers and Do some any other good deeds. He also hunts monsters who endanger nearby kingdoms. His action gained a lot of sympathy from a lot of people and he got noticed by the second princess (he also win her heart again). people voted for his status as a hero to be returned, but he refused and said he wasn't worthy of such a title. long story short his biggest achievement was that he managed to be friends with the demon king (I don't know how maybe through duel or talk no Jutsu) and bring peace between humanity and the demon races, end the war between the 2 races once and for all. he also became the greatest King Humanity ever had. As for Ceres his story kinda ends when Zect returns to his village. In the future, he go to Nirvana and fuck his harem for eternity. His harem wants to have children with him but the way how is kinda weird. so all of his harem members take some of their blood samples and mixed them with Ceres jizz and with the help of goddess power Ceres' son is born. He ridiculous OP but without common sense. sometimes later he wants to go to earth so the milf just shoves him into one of the Zect party members the holy saint to raise him the way how the world works. that's right those milfs instead teach their son about some rope and how the world works, they just shove their responsibility into other people.[SPOILER/]

it's almost like the author wanted to convey growth or something. Zect was a spoiled child who got all the praise of being the hero early in his life. he never had to face the responsibilities or consequences of his actions because MC handled it without complaint and often, without notice or follow-up (which was probably a bad idea). Zect no longer has anyone looking out for him and is now feeling the weight of responsibility for the first time while also having way more responsibility than your average person.

Zect never seemed like an evil guy. just a shitstain. which... yeah... he's a kid. a demographic not known for foresight or having a good understanding of how much is being done for themm until they're suddenly out on their own.

Every character in this story is so dumb that it's pretty painful to see an attempt at development. The speech Ceres had towards the Pope isn't some sort of amazing insight...it's something that would be extremely obvious to everyone involved. At least, if their brains worked. Which is too much to ask from this story, I guess.

I don't think there's a single plot point in this story that holds up if you try to think, "wait, had no one ever considered this before?"

I just don't know what I'm doing here anymore. There's basically no chance a chapter is going to come out at some point that makes me go, "oh wow, what a good chapter". But my curiosity will keep me reading anyway. I'm just amazed at the people looking at this trainwreck and actually thinking that the author has written a compelling twist or made a good point about...anything. I mean it's literally a story where exceptionally beautiful and capable women are treated like trash and sold into slavery to do the lowest of jobs. Even if you could somehow argue that it makes cultural sense (which I can't see that it does, other than simply being told it's how the culture is), it certainly doesn't make economic or military sense. Any country actually acknowledging the capability of the barely middle-aged women would have an overwhelming advantage and conquer the world. This scenario makes no internal sense, and all the characters are idiots for not realizing that.
