Alice didn't have the immediate raw power like Mama Eve or her sister Sophia, but she had the brains and guts to succeed and it won her fight. Her equipment has incredibly high potential as long as the user has the intelligence to use it well, but it can also suck real bad if she happened to be unintelligent enough for it. Good thing that's not the case.
As an aspiring ruler, a lesson she had to learn is that she must be able to trust and rely on help from others if necessary (because she's going to have retainers and subordinates, who must be trusted to do things she can't always do by herself), a lesson she is learning here from everything she's borrowed to help her win the day. She calls it shameless, but from another perspective, it's called "using your brain" which she did effectively here.
All three ladies fought well and didn't job as I feared, but what I liked the most is how each fight demonstrated each girl's strengths and weaknesses, followed by how it was increasingly necessary to use intelligence to win, such that to me it felt like Eve's fight was won with 90% force, 10% intelligence, Sophia won using 50% force, 50% intelligence and Alice needed 90% intelligence and 10% force to win.
Unless he has more tricks to pull out of his ass, the king is not prepared to face 3 powerful ladies who are angry and out to fight for their family.
