I thought this at first too, but I'd like to hold out hope that we get a more dedicated Iori "arc" in this series, since in the original she only just started. Considering the author treated Kai's character with a lot of sincerity, and since there's also a new non-binary member of the cafe, I have some confidence that Iori's own conceptions of their identity will get to be explored more. It's happened before in similar series after all

At the end of the day his struggles mostly relates to being tall af and not being able to wear cute dresses as a result, not so much gender identity issues.

I think it it's nice tbh that being into clothing and crossdressing is shown not to be a gender-only thing. Considering that we have enough of that between gestures at Kai and the entire rest of the cast

...I kinda wish that things like transfem tomboys or colorful transmasc whatever was more of a thing too.
