Eh, it seems to be taking a fairly comedic tone. I think they're less "soul broken insane husk" and more "anxious and overbearing". The story wasn't given a tragedy tag...
I'm not picking up the comedy vibes here...

Really? I've only read the novel and it didn't seem comedic. Either I misunderstood or the manga is doing something different. Either way, depression isn't funny.
I have no idea what the novel is like, I'm judging based entirely on the manga since this is mangadex not novelupdates

It's not bad so far, I like the protagonist. But are all three women love interests? If so I'm gonna have to drop this bc one of them is 13 :/ author could've just made her an adult, literally no reason to make a love interest a child
This might be difficult for you to understand but in Japan the primary buyer demographic, the primary target market of these works are young teenagers. Underage relationships are normal for teenagers. They want to see characters that are similar to them in some way. Thats why most anime and manga characters start young even if the story ends with them being older. The MC himself is probably a teen, here. The characters also don’t exist in real life, so it doesn’t matter. None of this matters.

Typo: Chapter 3, page 12/26, panel 2, "week" is used instead of "weak" (next to correct usage of the same term).

This looks amazing. I hope they deep dive into the psychological states of the FMC’s throughout the story and how it changes over time. The art is great too so this one on a first impression is looking like it’s going to be VERY good.

EDIT: I was looking at the names and it seems the westernized versions would be: Wolka -> Volk and Mage Lizelarte -> Mage Liselotte…? I could be totally wrong about this but those seem like the equivalents. Yulitia and Atori are a bit more difficult and may just be what they are.

I started reading the novel out of curiosity since I liked the premise and let me say, it's quite different but damn it was so good that I caught up to the latest translated chapter in a single night. It might not be the best story out there but definitely something different for me, also it shows more of their character (even on the first chapters) about the girls and Wolka, going in depth why they have such high esteem of him. If you like reading I'd recc defo go take a look.

He changed one tragedy for another huh
Honestly, the way the girls took his attempt at reassuring words is more realistic than what most other stories go with, considering women tend to act or think based on how they feel. A straightforward approach like the MC took might work amongst guys, but a group hug with water works would have been better for this traumatic moment, along with words like "Thank God every is still alive, I am so happy."

Make this survival more heartwarming and wholesome, rather than a morbid message about how the girls are more important than his pitiful life (based on the heavy atmosphere, it could come off as self degrading/admission of failing).

I could almost bet my left nut that the Roche guy turns out be evil....

Something cliche like using connections/etc to approve the dungeon clearing so the MC dies, all because he was jealous of his skills with the sword or how he was popular with girls he liked.

On everyone's soul this shit is peak
This is a "guilty" pleasure. It's mid, but a sizable amount of people will enjoy it, you amongst them. And that's not bad. I have MANY guilty pleasure reads, but you have to realise when you are reading one. True peak stories are ones you would recommend as a first or second read for your normie friends, because those are stories that can be enjoyed by almost everyone. Nieche stories are not peak, sadly.
