How about women acting with the intention of getting rich fast and as such being set for life?

I think making the marriage with an influential and rich noble the prize would not make them "work hard for the noble" but rather work hard to obtain the position as his "wife" to be set for life.

Also what if the person winning is a woman who is the complete opposite to Alec in some terms?
For example set on keeping the wealth to herself instead of using it to help others, helping others only in exchange for a huge payment instead of ensuring their wellbeing as one's subjects, and so on?

Also what if the winner is male and then exploits the "seal of approval" to sell bad products for high prices?
For example if a farmer wins, he could cut down on quality to increase the quantity he produces because he could still sell it for expensive prices due to the "seal of approval" he has.
This would then tarnish Alec's reputation for supporting such a scammer.

Granting rewards binding one's name, noble status or/and reputation to things outside of the competition based on the result of that competition is just dumb and calling to be exploited.

@Operatix @welcome2atlantis Prizes were announced for each gender it sounds like. I doubt anyone would sign up for a CHANCE to get the other gender prize, be more of them granting the request rather than a right. So if they say no, it would be like, then why did i go thru all that effort?

What that tournament is about? If there can be a winner of eligible age for marrying Alec, then is it something a child or a teen can do? Because it sounded like some manufacturing/agricultural competition and i doubt children are that proficient in these fields.

Wow, this entire chapter could have been skipped and no one would be the wiser with how useless to the plot it is. Not directing anything towards the translation team, doing a fine job, but damn author this is just a bad chapter reducing the overall quality of the series

The dads are the probably the best for this story. Also this has gotten so nonchalantly degenerate (like the SSS reincarnator is happy the little girl is becoming a manager for his harem?). Luckily I gave up any delusions of a serious or grounded plot a long time ago.

@Pwarghle I agree. The chapter would have been fine if the series released more often (like weekly; I'm assuming it's monthly) or had much longer chapters. It added details which was nice, but by itself literally nothing happened. With limited time and space an author should know when to trim unnecessary content (actually an editor should; then again I know nothing about the actual publication and editor process a single Manga chapter goes through).

It was bad enough when the MC added the empress to his harem despite having a fiancee, who naturally loves the idea because this is a shounen and female characters exist solely to serve as cheerleaders and bed warmers. But to make a tournament's prize a ticket into the harem just reeks of 1-dimensional first arc antagonist for other trashy isekais.

So much for a "virtuous" person in the past.
