Did you not see the final page? They clearly have a way to make her talk, and even if it isn't guarantee she has no way to escape now. They aren't being idiots his siblings were right to stop him, he's clearly emotionally unstable at the moment killing her right now will solve nothing.these people are idiots, they expect her to confess and reveal all the secrets of her kingdom? no she's gonna use her illusions and escape just like she did before, this was the one chance you had to kill her yet these idiots decided to ruin that. i do hope she escapes just so they can know it's 100% their fault
Did you miss the part where his brother said "Distberg can revoke the peace treaty" and "Distberg can't fight the empire alone, we need proof to ask for help"? Yes it is still VERY stupid to not kill or at least disable the illusion hero's arms and legs, but they aren't aiming for peace with the empire. This is a very big oopsie doopsie bruh moment. It's gonna be very embarrassing to have the damn illusion hero escape again just for the plot. Do they really think they can negotiate peace with a country that has sent a hero and a bunch of super soldiers in broad daylight wrecking havoc in the heart of their country? I'm sorry but this is dumb imma see if it's gonna redemp itself next chap.
It may be as you say, it was prob due to disappointment that I skimmed through that part. Anyhow let us see what it's gonna be next time.Did you miss the part where his brother said "Distberg can revoke the peace treaty" and "Distberg can't fight the empire alone, we need proof to ask for help"? There's no way Fai was the last man standing in his original world. He's strong, yes, but his mentality is that of an amateur. I reckon his memories are actually fake. Some of them must be true, like maybe the beginning and some of his fighting, but at some point he was reprogrammed to believe he managed to survive after beating the enemy, and then took his own life. Who knows why, maybe to allow him to die thinking the enemy was defeated, but that's pretty much the only theory I can come up with.
