She wants him to find his own reason to live, not stick to ghosts (even if it's a living ghost) from his previous world for the reason. Sure, he would be happy, but it would also mean he would most likely stop looking for a personal reason to live. He never really had one, he only had a reason to die. Even now, after much development, he's still stuck at trying to make sure others can live happily, never mind his own happiness, which is still unknown for him.

I don't know how I feel about this. This kinda seems like a M. Night Shyamalan twist where it's just there to be edgy. It's a little early to judge to be fair... It just didn't have any foreshadowing and doesn't add anything to his character growth except potentially a method to make him back slide if he makes any progress in the future. (I'm super skeptical of the manga industry and how many series try their best to stop their stories from progressing)

Well, there could be a ton of backstory for all we know:

• What was his previous party? At this point, it definitely doesn't seem like they were "just a group of adventurers".
• Could be something like "crucial group of heroes" at the center of war against Demons (or whatever).
• Will the rest reappear and form a new heroes party against new major threat? (Or revival of the old threat.)
• Or maybe it's just this one girl, and she doesn't take up fighting again.

As for whether she should reveal, I think valid reasoning is that he needs to find a reason to live in this life, not just hang onto one ghost from his past life. And even if he had her back, he would still be tormented by the deaths of the others. He needs to get over that.
