Yeah. It's just lazy writing.Blaaah. Anyone else tired of invincible enemies and whatnot? =/
as a LN reader this thing is in fact sudden, but its not just a random enemy, and does lead up to bigger things.Invincible enemies for no good reason is just as boring as overpowered heroes because of plot.
This thing came out of nowhere, with no build up, and so far no real reason to even be here. It just happened and it's super strong just because, and it's unnaturally smart to keep the tension up.
That could just mean "author thought of a reason later". Which still could be considered bad writing.as a LN reader this thing is in fact sudden, but its not just a random enemy, and does lead up to bigger things.
Yeah how about waiting to see how it plays out. To avoid spoilers I am not giving a lot of details, but right now you come of as searching for somthing to be critical about and just baselessly assuming. As a LN reader I actually would say this encounter was very well written and helps built the troublesome and chaotic nature of what they are dealing with, a rather well written chaos character. Your also really assuming this is some mob enemy, it might as well be a demon lords heavenly king. Its also by no means invincible, but its also not what it seems at all and they are fighting it in the least effective way, physically. That could just mean "author thought of a reason later". Which still could be considered bad writing.
so drop niku then. You can’t just put two versions EVERYTIME Niku/Meat gets mentioned even once! 😭
won’t be able to appease everyone, as I can already feel the pain of uploading two versions of the same chapter, not once, but twice already. I advise to just stick with one, as in, grow some BALLS, because from what I’ve read on the previous comments that
. So, you’re all still adamant on having two versions, then, as a reader, I’m expecting that once the name change hits. There would still be two versions likeShe’ll have her name be changed to “Kuroinu”
.Blackdog Ver. and a Kuroinu Ver.
Though I still don’t understand the “Meat” camp side when most of the other chars have japanese names, pretty jarring if you ask me. Keima Rokuko, Haku, and then there’s Meat, the singular english name.
If it’s easy, then nice. If dropping niku, i that’s okay too, though on the name change - better see an english equivalent of that too cause jumping from Eng to Jp is ??? 🤨so drop niku then.
bro its easy becuse the names have the same character length.
As a manga reader, I would say this is not well written since it comes out of nowhere. What happens later and what it builds up to doesn't make it better. It's sort of like having the hero use a new ability to solve a problem, and then later explain why that ability could be used. There could be a perfectly good explanation for it, but at the time it still comes off as an asspull. As a LN reader I actually would say this encounter was very well written and helps built the troublesome and chaotic nature of what they are dealing with, a rather well written chaos character.
Um Actually, translations to other languages sometimes do translate names, and that's perfectly fine. There's no absolute "right" way to do it. It's like if a character has the name "Kurisu" it's perfectly normal to translate it to "Chris" rather than to keep the original name, despite it being a proper "untranslatable" name. It's a matter of style. But while the name has meaning it is first and foremost a name, a proper noun, those are not translatable. Yes you keep the meaning of what her name is based on in translation, but is no longer her name. Later we will get a Mikan and Ichigo, one of the Ln translators translated them and called them orange and strawberry, those arent names, but Mikan and Ichigo are.
