Look at Goro-san, taking care of his sick Fox Wife! I really like how he manned up here.

Also, don't take anything the tanuki doctor said about colds and fevers seriously. The Japanese think you can get sick from getting rained on or otherwise wet, which is patently untrue.

Next time: She's well again, off to a family restaurant!

To be fair to Japan, the idea that rain and cold weather causes colds is pretty common across many cultures. And apparently being cold does weaken your immune system, so there may be some truth behind the idea. Though I think that's more of an explanation of why colds and the flu are more common in winter than a reason not to go out in the rain in summer.

But Japan does apparently have a persistent belief that letting your stomach get cold will get you sick, which is more unique to them and even less scientifically justified.

Makes more sense than the Korean 'fall asleep with a fan on in the room and you'll suffocate.' :wtf:

This shows up in present-day Eastern Europe, and even all the way back to the classical age. It "quenches your inner fire", as I was told by temp worker at the hotel I worked at.

Why would a yokai need an insurance card? Is it so the hospital can still claim payments from the government? If so, how does a yokai get an insurance card in the first place? Is it a forgery? Do they have embedded hackers?
