I just reread the last few chapters (as we all do, surely) to keep myself going until the next update. I was admiring the queen (who is regal as fuck), and it occured to me.... was she her generation's Emi? Like, a super talented, savy noble woman propping up a mediocre man of royal blood. Because the king has been posting Ls this whole story just like his crusty son and the queen has a spy network, insider knowledge, political acumen, can command a room. And the artist does something with her eyes that's so... idk. She's regal and graceful but there's this displeasure. The gears are turning in my head. It's a leap but... I wonder if when she was young she was hopeful and sweet and always fixing men just like Emi. If she gave and gave and gave and this is who she became.

i just binged this manga from chapter 0 to now in one day, and suddenly when i pressed next.... it went back to the chapter list, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (imagine vader noooooo, that one)

honestly i need more manga like this, any recommendations?, i'm already reading flowery path of evil and i think a couple of villainess manga too

There's no way that this manga can be better

It's very minor, and in no way does it diminish this manga's status as an absolute masterpiece, but… I can think of exactly one thing that could make this manga better.

At first, we were told that the original capture targets were not brainwashed by Pina, but just projecting their insecurities onto Remilia. We were, however, not shown this.

I'd have liked for one person, just one, to reach out to Remilia after she was banished and offer help. Original capture target or NPC, it doesn't matter. One person to show how one would act if, for all the brainwashing, one had actual moral character and/or actual affection/respect for Remilia.

Again, very minor… but I'd have preferred it this way.

The fact that she hasn't clued in to the fact that she's only making her situation worse with every word and move is kind of nuts, truly feel bad for the real saintess who has to watch her life led by this monster of a person.

As someone who counts the villainess tag/genre as probably my favorite, Remilia has carved out a place in my heart as maybe the most fascinating and captivating of all. Her devotion to Emi and her goals is so breathtakingly inspiring and her real growth as a person from who she was meant to be, to who she is now is spectacular. And that’s to say nothing of who literally gorgeous she is. This art is sublime. I would read a hundred more chapters just to see more of this world and these characters. I’m so impatient for more.

Ironic with him being the one who knowingly commited a crime out of jealousy. He always was a POS jealous of Remilia who put others down to prioritize his fragile ego.

My only issues with this manga are how easily Remilia accepted she’s part of a “game”, and how we didn’t really see how “Pina” was in the real world in order to justify the hatred we’re supposed to feel for her. Ok, I get it, she’s the antagonist… but why is she so nasty to Emi/Remilia? I’m not satisfied there yet.

Because "Emi" is a good person who wouldn't want to publicly shame someone. In being Emi's Remillia, she would have to attempt to stop him, even though it's exactly what she wanted.
