It's surprising how much the series is willing to incorporate the actual horrors of rampaging monsters and fighting in dungeons into the plot, given the premise. Author is stupid for making MC follow the manga classic "I am no good" (or the like) routine. Plenty of doctors/technicians make $$$ making cosmetic alternation/surgery, so why not make MC have confidence instead.
I do not believe it has been stated this world does NOT have cosmetic surgery or similar available.
