Well. There was really only two options. Either his score is super low or his score is super high. There's rarely anything in between.

And then in a few chapters, I'm guessing we'll have the tournament arc.

And even if he passed here, they might do some shenanigan and combine his entrance score with passing here and put him in the lowest grade class just because.

I don't know man, but when someone scores a 100% in one test and a 0% in another, the average shows as 50% which is still a pass unless the requirement to pass is to have both at least 50%.
