I don't know if it violated any rules, but it did get a lot of criticism for the terrible quality of the work, sniping a series that was being worked on consistently and with high quality, and the lack of ownership that the translator took for the poor quality of their work.

Given that someone in one of this series' two chapters that the other guy did said that they had put out similarly crappy work on another series, but now the translator group's page shows zero titles in their feed (and the group itself is listed as "unclaimed" with no ties to the user account that was uploading with it), I have a feeling that the poster was spurred by the backlash to just delete all their translations on mangadex.

Yeah, basically that whole chapter got removed here, but the chapter discussion itself remains (by the power of search engine, etc.)
the MD site itself doesn't forget (chapter discussions of removed chapters), it seems (one has to dig around for those if lucky enough to find them again)

he was also using a portuguese scanlation as a base, without even bother to credit or even clean some of the background portuguese text, if he didn't delete everything himself then i guess that's what happened

There is no rule against sniping and also no REASON for a rule against sniping, this site has only unlicensed translations, it would be the pinnacle of hypocrisy to ban sniping unless they also deleted all scans of officially licensed series.

With that said, I'm glad the guy deleted his own awful translation lol

I have been banned previously for guessing without using spoilers by using raws. I was totally off the mark because I can't read Japanese. Still got banned for an year or so from the forums.

so in short...TLDR: just a guess. Not a spoiler.


They have been turned into clowns. Which is a weird direction when there is already enough clowns in the main group and the villian group. Perhaps the author will address that by literally making them into a group of traveling jesters to acquire $$ to feed the demon goddess. but yeah, WTF do they still exist?
