I appreciate that this Yuri doesn't like, utterly cut out any male characters. Some other series do that, which is somewhat understandable...but I still like to see a world be properly fleshed out with a variety of people, y'know? have a few ladies be proper characters in BL, have some male supporting characters, etc.

Very MarriageToxin of those old farts to prioritize making babies and crap to the lesbian.
1. she wants to have kids so miss us with that BS

2. it's a world where myth is reality and clearly the other bloodlines have real power so losing a chunk of the total strength IS a concern, this is like arguing the US should feel ashamed for not disarming it's nuclear option while every other hostile nation has or is ramping up a nuclear arms program

edit: keep proving yall are meat automata that have pre-programed stances by not having the slightest reading comprehension to understand she is going "I want to have kids but I am unsure (because she is a lesbian)" and NONE of the other families genuinely don't care if she is a lesbian or not, just don't want the power that bloodline holds to vanish and think she's being selfish for not having kids, a COMPLETLY different kind of dick than the one yall keep citing as who they are

she doesn't say anything to indicate that. she says them telling her she has to make an heir, it makes her feel bad and guilty.

she clearly doesn't want to have kids and doesn't like the idea of having a male partner, so, like, yeah, them telling her, "you can't speak on anything until you fuck same guy and have some babies" is deeply shitty.

Another banger chapter--this time with a lot of great lore. Also looks like Naori will make some big decisions soon. They definitely need a discussion about the complexity of the situation. I'm glad the doctor could somewhat stand her ground there.

Most importantly he introduced that argument as a way of shutting her up when they didn't like what she was saying. It was purely a power move and not related to any real worries about descendants. That commenter makes many random statements like that though, so I wouldn't expect anything.

I understand that in-laws can be annoying but seriously Naori you're marrying into wealth so just deal with the annoyance of bringing flowers.

Not exactly. She feels guilt over not having kids, nothing she says implies wanting them. It's a pretty common sentiment.

Can you give me a few examples? I want to check which ones got the guillotine in this site...
Urasekai Picnic
Losing Bets With My Childhood friend
Moon on a Rainy Night
Whisper Me a Love Song

Were the big ones for me. They also got some that were finished like Can’t Defy the Lonely Girl and Vampeers. I’m obviously more upset about the ongoing ones. Also I lost plenty of non-yuri manga too.

Not in this situation. Maybe you don't have the life experience of being judged for babymaking potential, but it's twisted to feel obligated to do something not along your life path. Mokuren's own obligations to the old creeps was a direct comparison that takes gender out of it. It's more like having an emotionally abusive relationship with family or a societal group than the word "want" fits.
2. it's a world where myth is reality and clearly the other bloodlines have real power so losing a chunk of the total strength IS a concern, this is like arguing the US should feel ashamed for not disarming it's nuclear option while every other hostile nation has or is ramping up a nuclear arms program
Not in this situation either, but there's more to that. This is a soft magic system barely a step up from the weak power of real genetics. Worse this is soft magic power structures we know have warped from past social events. If there was bloodline-only magic, AND it's even worth preserving, there's options like distant relatives, adopting strangers, blood pacts, shifting myth interpretations, fresh violence, and magical pregnancy methods (some established in myths just fine but I don't wanna go into). Because stories and belief, and how they are managed, shape the reality. The consistent trouble is overtaking the traditionalists as the dominant force of belief and culture.

What you shouldn't do is take the side of old bigots who have been canonically wrong about the way magic and human relationships work. That worldview is literally the main antagonist, not the underlying magic system.

the fundamental problem with traditionalists is that their way is never how anything ever worked. the ancients were always trying new things.

they're not really clinging on to the past or even returning to the past because the way the past works is moving forward. what they're actually clinging on to is power and control, even power and control they have now that's new.
