I do understand Karina's anger. That plushie was the symbol of Aurora prevarication againt Karina, and the symbol of her family putting Aurora in a pedestal, to Karina detrimental.
In fact it was when she saw it that she started to lash out to Ciel. Poor Ciel doesn't probably know shit about everything, but I hope she learns why Karina got triggered that much, and be an element of her healing.
It's honestly unclear wethever the maids were able to fully escape the avalanche, I do hope they did. Karina did at least wait they were at a distance it seems.
Aurora puzzle me, and in this chapter itks me way more then before, as unless she is totally emotionally stunned, she should have understood that giving that plushie back was insulting, considering how she gotted it on the first place

Literally 'burying her past'

IF she's 'ally' and know Karina well enough, this is her playing the bad guy to get Karina further away from that murderous prince.
After all Karina has been quite stubborn in her own ways so you can't convince her with words, just push her into certain direction.

This maybe A controversial opinion here, but I dislike the mc. She had no reason to that her maid that cruelly, when she clearly cared about her.

I'm so so so glad that reshutoka didn't even consider an "I could fix her" for a moment. She heard what her wife wanted and even though it could hurt or kill others she's completely game. This is exactly how I was hoping a return-to-the-castle would go, frankly.

I hope they get a LOT worse before the inevitable "They become better people" that will happen. (Though I hope they only get worse, never better)

The Maid let someone other than the master of the place make drastic changes to its exterior and interior. That kinda stuff should not have been approved unless her actual mistress was there. The maid should have refused any proposed refurbishments in her masters stead, so she pretty definitively failed to represent her mistresses will as she should have. I'd say she deserved it. (well maybe not the targeted avalanche xd)

That was fast, axe incoming?
It sucks we live in a world where we have to automatically assume a scene change is the axeman coming.

She definitely did pause to ensure that's what she truly wants but if wife wants murder murder she gets.

Yeah, absolutely. In 19th century era homes and the like, the mistress is the sole director of the house. To make any changes (especially such a remodeling) would be an insult to her home and an egregious breach towards her authority.

Post script thought: a comparison could also be drawn here with Reshutoka since she has been the one crafting a house from scratch and even furnished Karina's current room. Showing a lack of agency for Karina.

Its quite amazing as to how many people are illiterate in thinking that MC killed the maids when she didn't, they all escaped

And the worst part is many people are defending Ciel like MY DUDE she's the fucking HEAD MAID, she FAILED her fucking job and just let MC's sister take over the castle, the Head Maids job is to represent MC, she's supposed to KNOW EVERYTHING about MC/defend her, so her job should have been to REJECT Aurora and to have Known MC HATES Aurora, the fact that she let her in AND even let Aurora decorate the castle meant exactly what MC said, she isn't MC's maid her master is Aurora because she failed her job.

Infact MC was kind to them, usually during those times the Rulers aka MC would have just straight up killed them or worse tortured them then killed them, so the fact that they all got to leave the castle with their lives is lucky :aquadrink:

Also if the Castle could be destroyed by 1 fucking avalanche then that has got to be one of the WORST placed Castle's I have ever seen :02:

Either way like someone else has said this chapter felt like the final ch for a LN promotion or axe
I TRULY hope that isn't the case because this series is REALLY interesting :meguuusad:

Karina, you can just stop and live with your wife.
The option is there, Karina.
There is no need to put more danger, Karina.
Karina, please think about it.

And, on she marched.

Now I didn't expect it. But honestly, that mansion was already lost. Karina's sister had pretty much placed her people (spies/assassins) there, and even the toy that she returned could've been tampered with.

While I do feel a bit sad for Ciel, I'll also say that she should've thought that something was suspicious. Her master had gone missing for days, and instead of rallying a search party, Aurora decided to bring in new furniture and servants, but apparently didn't stay to make sure everything was properly handled and/or that a rescue mission was arranged for Karina. Regardless I do hope that if we see Ciel again (assuming that she survived) and that she'll understand where Karina is coming from.

That said, if they do survive, then Aurora and the Prince will learn who Karina had been staying with. And if Aurora is like most villainess antagonists, she'll likely try to get Reshutoka for herself. Either way, things are moving fast now.

I think it’s a natural progression. Author couldn’t ignore the castle situation any longer… And the sister had to act at some point after telling the prince she would “handle it (Karina)”.
I mean the swap to I love you and heres what I want from you. And the wolf being like say less
