Honestly this is alright. I question making your empire a theocracy when you're going this hard on scientific development but I'm sure we'll anime our way out of the situation.
The translation really needs work, come on you guys, "Clelia"?
No, it makes sense. People have a fundamental need to believe in something greater than themselves, and having a theocracy to cultivate fanaticism for the coming war with the bugs, would hold together the will and determination for at least a couple centuries.

Basically the goal is to have the religious fervor hold out long enough for the science to discover hostile xeno unamicable to human life. Then, you don't need the fanaticism as much once you have literal, giant bugs who torture humans to designate an enemy.

It's hard for him to consider not doing a theocracy when the goddess of the world is alligning with him. I have a decent feeling she's going to stand behind him for the sake of the planet

Go the protestant church way, separate from main centralized church, make your own church under the rule of the state. 😎 Gg ez

After unifying the faith under your church, shift the focus from religion to science by preaching about science at your churches

"You know what luminous thinks is really cool? Science! Luminous really vibes with science! Also hates big bug!"

PS. For super earth!!

Thanks for translating every up to date ❤️

Makes sense, since Selena was contemplating how they would continue to keep up the will to fight against the Bugs over the centuries needed to build up the industrial base needed to actually put up a credible defense.

You got me there, I genuinely don't know.

Either way it's a high value target, so it still seems kinda weird, though plot convenience did happen before.

I think my points still make sense in this case. Or maybe the author/artist just wanted to keep the cool villain design they already made. :lul:
Alois did lead the attack against him first instead of the other way, so the prince probably just wasn't a part of the invasion force and was just chilling at home or something. Once news of the king's defeat came he'd have a lot of time to escape before starveik forces came to his place.

Honestly I'm kind of disappointed that the story simply resolved everything up from the new city to now in just a few chapters. It feels like a lot of story that was truncated for the sake of expediency. And these latest chapters after fight were even more "And then this happened"

Yeah, I can see it going either way.
The Crown Prince comes along with the King in order to rack up military achievements and get some experience, or if he already has both from when they took over the Old Starveek Kingdom, he stays home so that the risk of losing both King and Prince are lessened (which turned out to be the right call).

I think this is a good enough place for me to bow out. It was a fun ride, but I'm happy enough to end with "Alan married Cleria, restored her kingdom, but the struggles continued".

Thanks for all the translations!
honestly, that's pretty fair. I don't think the "new" (post-novel) content is that bad per se, i definitely wouldn't go calling it "ai generated slop" like some have, but the whole thing has very different vibes compared to the start & this seems to be the artist's first attempt at taking the reigns at writing (after only doing adaptation work written by other people so far) & things are just kinda messy as a result. nothing wrong with getting tired of something, after all, especially given the circumstances, imo. I'm just holding out hope that this guy'll try to pull something interesting now that so many of the initial setups have been paid off & there's a lot more breathing room to do something unexpected, but we'll see I guess.
