honestly, that's pretty fair. I don't think the "new" (post-novel) content is that bad per se, i definitely wouldn't go calling it "ai generated slop" like some have, but the whole thing has very different vibes compared to the start & this seems to be the artist's first attempt at taking the reigns at writing (after only doing adaptation work written by other people so far) & things are just kinda messy as a result. nothing wrong with getting tired of something, after all, especially given the circumstances, imo. I'm just holding out hope that this guy'll try to pull something interesting now that so many of the initial setups have been paid off & there's a lot more breathing room to do something unexpected, but we'll see I guess.
Yeah I wouldn't call it slop, but I haven't been happy with the pacing ever since the artist took over writing duties.

I would have liked some of this stuff to be developed more; I've felt more than a little lost lately because the author seemed to want to quickly tie up the original author's plot before moving into this new arc.

I've always been of the opinion that once you stop being excited to see a new update that it's time to give a series a break, but I'll probably check back in later to see it the new author ever found their groove.

So he come from a advance star trek like society and his solution is kill them all....

Truly stupid, and not the fun kind.
What's wrong with it? I think it's quite effective solution considering it's his main goal since the beginning of the story.
Southern noble will, sooner or later, eliminated and absorbed into his empire now he just add the church on the list. Had the church stay out of politics they might has a chance to stay independent like Vatican.

Honestly this is alright. I question making your empire a theocracy when you're going this hard on scientific development but I'm sure we'll anime our way out of the situation.
The translation really needs work, come on you guys, "Clelia"?
I think it's necessary since most population still "adhere" to religion, give them 2-3 generations they might change into Absolute Monarchy or Republics after scientific education become mandatory to all.

You guys. Frankly, I find the idea of a bug that thinks o-ffensive.
Still no explanation of who the ninja girl is, and why she kidnapped mc but then just let him out of the dungeon. Wonder if mc will use his drones or spaceship to make public claims or incidents about angels.

Maybe it's just me, but Cleria feels like a weak leader. She doesn't feel ready for what's currently going, let alone what's to come. I sense no co-rulership ahead. Maybe it's best she remains in the dark about what's really going on as Sharon suggested. She'd just be overwhelmed.
I doubt this is going to happen here, but in a different story she'd just become a forgotten/puppet queen as Alan creates his little imperium for the greater good. :pepehmm:
you realize it's a good thoughtful(maybe not the greatest) story when you think stuff like that seeing the characters

Ah, I was trying to be a bit more positive than I have been previously so that obfuscated my true feelings. When I said "different" I meant "better." So to be perfectly clear in what I mean: In a better story she'd be a tragic character that completely loses control of her authority as things move far beyond the scope she can manage.
Alternative she could step up and properly grow into the role she's been thrust into, but I see even less signs of that happening. If anything there's a good chance the mangaka might accidentally blunder into her being a forgotten/puppet queen by not doing anything with her or just making her Alan's sycophant now that her main role is almost over. :wooow:

It’s going fast, and isn’t spending time recreating soy sauce and msg, I'm here for it. I don’t know how to most tactfully speed the story through the annexation of the continent to get to the point of constructing spaceships, but this is what we’re getting I guess. Maybe they should have put Alan into cold sleep so he’s alive to make key decisions down the line, and to face the bugs. Like Sky Prison Avalon.

I agree. The war, the spy, the restoration of the kingdom, it all ended too soon and kind of rushing toward next arc. We should get at least a few more chapters of the aftermath of all those things first before steadily moving on to coronation and wedding as a nice conclusion to the restoration arc.

Well, maybe novel was too much of a mess to find of proper closure so I will give a chance to the artist as they took 100% control of the direction of this series. We will see how it goes.

we speedrun the ending of one of the main arcs, but I thought it was for the ending of the series, hope time makes this decision good.

I knew the archbishop would reappear, specially since the pope is going against them. Most likely envy towards the MC that is viewed as a chosen one by god.

Officially the novel author is working with the Manga team together for this completely new arc, just FYI.

Alan is suddenly no longer OP
Alan was never OP when it came to anyone from his tech level, though.
Selena and Sharon constantly one-upped him long before the hiatus point, to show that even vat-grown and flash-trained clones are better than Alan. Alan straight up says that he's never won a single sparring match against either sister. And even his advantage in being able to better visualize concepts to direct magic is undercut by the twins just using hypno-training to get the same effect.

Pretty sure that was because the Berta-Alois alliance wasn't going to fall for Alan's trap unless they had confirmation that he was neutralized, and him being thrown in the dungeon was what let the plan proceed.

I think it's necessary since most population still "adhere" to religion, give them 2-3 generations they might change into Absolute Monarchy or Republics after scientific education become mandatory to all.
Also, even the Empire has a religion with some influence.
Chapter 17, Page 9.
The tissue of Commodore Iris Conrad that was used to clone Selena and Sharon was put on the ship due to influence from the New Imperial Religion (New Imperial Church in the official English version).
So as much as Alan says that they're a bunch of superstitious nonsense that desecrates the memories of the Empire's heroes, they obviously have enough sway to get the Admiralty to store the tissue samples of each namesake in the medbay of every ship named after a hero.
So, as much as he might be against it, he knows the power of religion.

Alan's idea of uniting the church and the empire under one ruler is a smart one, but the narration up to this point is a bit jumpy, inconsistent and skips over a lot of things.

It reminds me a bit of the ending of Game of Thrones: The final idea on how to determine a ruler is a good one, but the story up to this point as well as the choice of the new ruler is...questionable, to be very, very polite.
