Nawh bail on that shit author. I understand the situation, but I still don't like it. Lemon did nothing to redeem herself and doesn't really deserve him. She can have her friend back, but kind hearted Natsumi gets the guy. Or a thruple.

I will say that now that I've had a chance to process, it could be Sunao mostly stressing over the suspicion that Lemon still has feelings for him, and not necessarily him actively rejecting any lingering feelings of his own.

I'm not saying that's even likely, but I'll hold out hope that he's worked (or nearly worked) through his grief over his relationship with Lemon, especially now that they've been Swapping for months, and is finding closure on that in being able to become friends with her again.

I'll continue holding out hope for Natsumi.
"Throuple" still personally feels like a cop-out, but I also think it could work if it's well-written, and if Natsumi actually has feelings in that way for Lemon (since every time she had the Doki Doki up to now, it was when Sunao was in Lemon's body).
I'm all for poly relationship endings, it's just gotta feel correct to do so and not just out of pity for one person or another.

Yeah to me it doesn't feel like he has any sort of lingering romantic attachments to Lemon. It's more like he would feel stuck in a really awkward position if Lemon is still in love with him considering he likes her friend. Then add in the body switching, it would just make it even more awkward. Just my own thoughts though. The story could go in a completely different direction.

Almost feels like i missed a chapter with how quickly this was resolved after all those months of flashbacks.
But im happy were done with it now and can start new arcs.
Maybe at some point lemon will actually tell sunao that she loves him (hardcore copium i know).
Iirc the only reason she didnt tell him in the past was because shed feel bad for him and she thought hed just get back together out of obligation or smth? Idk it seems like they now realize that they can actually discuss sensitive topics with some maturity with each other so heres hoping.
I have no clue what the father is supposed to be here for, i doubt he already noticed that somethings off.
Maybe its about the going abroad thing, i remenber that was a plotpoint like 50 chapters ago that never really got resolved.

Agreed. A polygamous relationship in mange with such "real" characters rarely feels ok.
One case of a manga where polygamous relationship would make perfect sense is "Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!?"

Yep. Sunao's a considerate person who cares about his friends, so I wager we'll see him fully tackle Lemon having feelings for him in the near future, as I think it's one of the few pieces that has yet to be resolved.

I'm very curious as to what causes the Swapping to terminate. It might very well require "full" closure between Lemon and Sunao, where she has to properly confess that she still loves him, and he has to decide what to do about that.

I'm betting that the Swappings will continue until that gets resolved, especially if Lemon did wish on the star back at the beginning that she could properly tell Sunao the truth about everything, including her lingering feelings for him.

"In hindsight, they probably had their own stuff going on... Their own perspective on situation."
The heck? Bullies are still bullies. No matter the situation, their point of view, or what they were thinking, what they did is what matters. And that is not a justification.

Anyway, in my country polygamy technically totally legal, just for your information. But personally, I think Natsumi still the best.

You can start by elevating Kogahara beyond just a background character.
I do think that this confrontation needed to happen between Sunao and Lemon.
Now that at least this first conversation has concluded, I suspect that Natsumi will start factoring into the story more and more going forward, especially as Sunao grapples with his suspicions that Lemon still has feelings for him and how that factors into him liking Natsumi--and as Lemon and Natsumi will need to work through their feelings for Sunao with one another.

I certainly have my hopes about the endgame, but I actually think we're still a ways from that, especially given the Swapping persists.

Plus, there's the whole "Lemon going to Germany" thing (I wonder if that's why Dad is here all of the sudden). I can't imagine that was just a throwaway that will just be dropped as a loose thread, and that has a lot of implications for the three of them, even if the Swapping's not a factor by that point.

For Kogahara to win believably she needs her own dedicated POV arc, one where she is not just an accesory for Lemon and Sunao.

An arc of Natsumi Kogahara, THE PERSON, not the trophy waifu.

oh yeah - and I fully expect we do get that. A lot has had to necessarily be addressed between Lemon and Sunao, specifically, in addition to the usual plot timeline of what's going on around them since the Swapping happened.

Now that at least one big portion of that has concluded, the pacing can open up again, and allow for other storylines to come to the fore. The author's done a good job with giving the characters space to exist and think/act up to now, for the most part. I can't imagine that won't be the case for the third part of the Trio.

You can't fight the childhood friends' fate.
As long as it's well-written, I ultimately won't complain. If at the end it makes the most sense for Lemon and Sunao to be together rather than Sunao and Natsumi, then that's the way it should go.

The writing's been good enough to this point that I don't have too much worry that the author will suddenly shoehorn an ending where it's not warranted (and that goes for Sunao & Natsumi too, for the record).

please be platonic, please just be friends, they have such an interesting dynamic rn & the plot hasn't naturally led to romance & it's much more interesting anyways if they don't date
