Yes, I'm aware that it's abuse, but japanese romcoms write it as if it's just another comedic element and rarely shown as a problematic character trait. It's just another awful trope in the massive gamut of awful JP romcom tropes.

It doesn't have an official EN TL just yet. KDT is working on an FTL, but many are annoyed by how much is still behind their paywall. Even so, everything through V5 is unlocked on their novels site. You'll have to look for it on your own, though. MD rules. Sorry.
You know, I've always hated the slapping your love interest out of embarrassment/anger trope. I'm aware that it's not meant to that serious in these things, but i still find it kinda shit all the same.
What adds even more to the shittiness is how much of a doormat the protagonist is being about the whole thing. Like, I dunno, from the very start, just answer something like “Hey, that’s Airi, she’s a friend of Kazuki.” and act like everything is perfectly normal: it’s usually the best way to get the wind out of the sails of someone who accuses you of doing something wrong.
The earlier chapters were average romcom with a decent twist. These past like 15 chapters have just been the plot hopping around randomly and avoiding any hope of progress
