....so...the princess is not only responsible about Funayama's death, but also for the death of who knows how many other children that died after the building's collapse when she knowingly and selfishly summoned a bunch of children to use as disposable children soldiers...

Yet the MC is allowing her to live still...the woman who has the knowledge to repeat said summoning and potentially kill even more children as a result.
And don't tell me she won't because "she thinks she's the MC's familiar", she's cunning enough to at the very least realize that her volition is still her own, if now outright that see through the MC's lies. And her end goal is still the same, raising a cheap slave army to protect her kingdoms from the neighboring empire.
Only this time around she'll be more careful while she does it and make certain to dispose of any "demon kings" directly instead of sending them to die in a forest.

Also, the "she's in command of the monster countermeasures, so she has to live" argument is equally silly, the MC could easily destroy what's left with ease and increase his army's power as a result.
But hey, the storywriter says big tits = survival.

If more than 2 month had passed, I would assume the demolition would have progressed further than was shown. Japanese government don't flounder around with construction like say the U.S..
Well, you have to understand, an entire floor of the school building is missing along with the children that were there (about 4-6 classrooms worth), as if someone cut it and took it away.

Such a thing would demand A LOT of investigation, (is it aliens? terrorists? a hostile nation) just to understand and potentially avoid a similar event if nothing else.
I mean as a parent of one of the missing children, would you just accept the answer of "we can't find your child's body in the rubble" or of the dead children "The middle floor of the school just "poofed" and the rest fell down as result" ?

Such an event should be a major scandal , and politicians would have investigations run for months

the glasses guy should LEARN to be more polite instead for wailing at him.
someone NEEDS to punch his face in.

but honesty i am glad most of his classmates are respecting him. of course there are expectations like the wailing glass guy. please kick his groin so hard that his nuts pop out of his mouth.

Wow holy shit, massive updates in a single chapter. Being able to go back to Japan, but the stipulation being only Kento, is so weird. I get that it’s probably going to facilitate more animosity or the goal of working towards evolving his skill to be able to transport more than just familiars, but it’s crazy that the ln/mangaka actually did it.

The hero being humble is…very odd? I totally thought he would be a turncoat but I guess this is the solution? It’s weird because we saw almost no introspection. He just went from selfish to extremely humble after a period of absence.

Thanks for the translation!

he got sent to jail and handcuffed to do hardwork, also got told he couldn't go back to earth, so him getting humble is more normal than glasses still being a jackass to the MC, like "how come you didn't think of going back to japan?" first he was working hard and almost dying to save all the teachers and classmates then looking up for the spell to go back, ffs glasses and the rest of the idiots (and that other teacher) cut him some slack.

??? What do you mean cut him some slack, I wasn’t even shitting on him…? I just commented on the fact that we haven’t seen him in quite a while and there was a significant change.

Wow, the crimes of the princess who summoned them just keep on coming. She murdered all of the people who died in Japan when the school collapsed. That makes her crimes we had known about until now seem like nothing…

… and can we please, please, please have some of these kids get consequences instead of 19th chances? Some of them deserve to be dead, if only to spare us readers from more wasted panels of them whining.

Reinhardt is introducing the theme of this arc: Kento’s personal struggle of coming to terms with his past, and setting out to build his future. In the “Hero’s Journey”, we are approaching the later stages where Kento must define what home is to him, and secure it. If you know the Hero’s Journey phases, this arc taking us all the way from “Ordeal” to “Resurrection”.

Changes from web novel:

Generally conversations are condensed, and lighthearted moments removed to prevent tonal clash.
  • The Takayama convo was deeper, discussing the court squabbles that led Celia’s mother being taken hostage, the difficulties in securing her release, and whether Celia really wants to come over in the first place. The latter things will be shown directly anyway.
  • Donovan spoke for himself during the speech, and Kento talked to him after Takayama. Donovan encouraged stealing from Reisenburg, and Kento was worried about male students rushing to their deaths in the dungeon, leading to exposition setting up a sidequest there.
  • Kento talked with the named teens more, they cheered on how he beat up Camilla, speculated how summoning could be misused if it was public knowledge, and there was some quality time with Yuika and Manon. Manon was there because she’s taking care of the girls.
  • When Kento first returned from Earth, he called out Reinhardt to intimidate the crowd of students. It’s more fitting for him not to use familiars as a crutch.
  • Right before retrieving the cell phones, Kento and Reinhardt had an argument about Camilla. Reinhardt was concerned she was going to be worked until collapse, Kento said he’ll just heal her and put her back to work (this is what she did to the students after all), then Reinhardt complimented Kento’s cunning manipulation of her. It could be dizzying how much the book bounced between Lastock and Earth plots, cutting this helps cut down on it, and the conversation made the two look bad.
  • Before talking to the teachers, Kento had more quality time with his harem, well, Yuika and Manon, while Beatrice was left out yet again. It emphasized Yuika is going through a lot of emotions, and set up meeting Manon’s family.
  • Sagara making clothes for Yuika was probably added by the mangaka as an excuse to get her out of her previous awful getup, but illustrates what Klaus was saying with Sagara being a positive example for other students. Mangaka also realizes despite cuts, he still needs to show that Kento likes Yuika.

The adaptation lost a scene of Klaus talking sense into them while working on the wall, it happened around when Marianne talked sense into some girls.

Man, the other students are becoming the most annoying aspect of this series at the moment. They're mostly completely unlikable, sucking on the tit of MC to get everything, and then blaming him for everything too.
I get that they're kids, but kids usually show a greater solidarity too, so it's still annoying as hell. :pout:
This part of the books had them celebrating Kento's exploits, but the mangaka figured that would clash too much with the dark stuff I guess? Yagi (glasses) gets some comeuppance down the road, you can count on that.

I had an impression that Kento's relationship with his parents were't good... But I couldn't find exactly where in this manga that I got that impression from...

So how long have they been in the new world? Also, the nightmare of exposing a world to magic... Dude is going to have governments all up on him.
Meh, nothing they can really do to him, he will just dive into his shadow if they try. Worst case he just drops off letters leaving no openings.
