Nah, it's just the ones that aren't like that don't get translated. ie:

It starts out promising, and has a resolution, but the translator just bailed.

I guess what really bothers me about it is that he's apparently known this new girl for TEN years, which kind of undermines a lot of the interest I had in him developing some kind of relationship with Mia who we've only gotten to know for 2 chapters. And let's be honest Mia's kind of being a bitch right now and isn't a very endearing character at the moment, so I'm already rooting for the childhood friend.
