dang that hits me hard like a truckCan you imagine how miserable that kid would be growing up?
Ok... But on the Noa side it's obvious it's romantic loveSome people (including posters here) who don't understand that love is not just romantic and familial. To think that there are people out there who don't love their friends.
There have been lgbt themes in manga forever dont act like its only existed since modern marvel. This is a Japanese manga, not some lgbt marvel slop. I truly sincerely doubt the author even knows what aroace is and just find it funny.
Nevermind the fact that Noa accidentally getting too close, showing cleavage or her nips showing through have had an obvious effect on Rihito
well she'll try to shank him. The knife won't be able to penetrate due to him being so dense.
Now the. GIRL he looked at... she's in trouble if she can't outrun Noa.
We're not there yet. She's in hard denial though. The dam's structural integrity is starting to give. It's about damn time she realizes her own feelings!
I agree with you on your points in response to the other guy, but if we look at this from a practical and more meta point of view:There have been lgbt themes in manga forever dont act like its only existed since modern marvel.
Aro/ace people can also get embarrassed by things like that due to being influenced by societies perceptions of it getting embarrassed by it isnt the same as being attracted to it.
Though if he is just Aro then he reaction is normal anyway he just wont ever be romantically interested in her.
Aro ace slop is a modern western invention. Marvel lgbt garbage is not at all comparable to what has traditionally shown up in japanese media, its not even close in tone or content. There have been lgbt themes in manga forever dont act like its only existed since modern marvel.

Nobody sane likes western lgbt garbage and I'm tired of pretending. I hate seeing it forcefully shoved in japanese media where it doesn't belong.Well... Ignoring Chuito shitshow...
People can have very specific triggers to get attracted to others (forgot the name), I think this is Rihito case
This guy gets it.I think the narrative of "these two are only destined to be friends" or "they are both so dense for each other" is off the mark. I think this is more about each of them missing a piece of themselves to be a healthy functional person; a person able to maintain a serious relationship. Noa has negative self esteem which causes her to panic, doubt, and catastrophize every scenario. Rihito is clearly the opposite in which he is so detached from getting close to people and dismisses it off as not understanding it. If and when the author is able to buckle down and give us some meaningful growth, I'm pretty sure we can see them each give the other what their missing. Stability and confidence for Noa, and passion and warmth for Rihito.
Rather than permanently paint each of them in negative stereotypes that will never change, which is easy to do, we can still get a story where they are able to grow and become better versions of themselves. Rihito will still be aloof and Noa emotional, but as people capable of dealing with it, or more satisfyingly, reign each other in as a couple.
The fun part will be watching how they each realize how much they value the other as a person and enjoy being with them. In good old 'opposites attract' fashion.
You get nothing! You lose! Good day sir!You get nothing you lose good day sir
