What is the manga trying ?..
Why is it now following that insufferable piece of shit and likely trying to redeem her for some stupid reason ?
So far everything bad thats happened in the story is connected to her, honestly everything bad happening to her is entirely self-inflicted

So she will finally have some regrets, cuz she endangered people she met like 2 days before, but still doesn’t regret what she did to mc for years, or even what she did to him right before she ended there… and that should redeem her I guess :haa:
Feels like the whole story is gonna revolve around her now, since mc is also coming for her…
Thanks for the translation

Honestly pretty bizarre turn, the entire focus of the story has shifted and the stakes are way higher than was ever implied previously. Why are we getting this unwieldy lore dump? What's the point? It looked like things were going to cool down for a while after the confrontation with Ezekiel and Ruby, but now it's diving right into another conflict with a higher degree of violence. The Fairy Dragon sucks as a villain, it's all too vague and the artist seems to be struggling to depict the scale and action of it. The whole thing is just jumping the shark.

I think that's the point. She's realizing that how much damage she causes with her selfish nature. She grew up thinking no one would ever help or save her and she had to fight reach where she is. She developed a terrible personality and started taking out her attitude on Lloyd.

Everyone calls her unredeemable and horrible, but based on the flashbacks to their childhood Lloyd would probably be dead in a back alley if Ruby had not dragged him along. I personally find following her story now a bit more interesting than watching OP Lloyd one hit everything.

So instead of trying any amount of diplomacy, you immediately declare war on humans because some of them were using holy energy? I'm supposed to sympathize with that position since we have no time for nuance given you are telling us this during the Fairy Dragon's attack?

No, that is stupid. Of course, Humans would think demons and monsters are the same if you are both weak to Holy Energy and attacked them. This has been a progressive nose dive into the ground, focusing on establishing a new crisis with barely anything to show for it. While focusing on the worst character in the story so far.

Honestly, turning this into these grand battles feels like it really started to swim downstream of a garbage dump.

That is a neat plot point, but the way it is delivered is trash, and the only thing I can think of for how it fits is to point out that Ezekiel's suffering had a point. Something that she should have been told well before now, and well before she tortured the demon queen.

EDIT: it also messes up the clever bit they had with Ezekiel. It instead makes the demon queen into a moron who didn't tell her very important subordinate that she was meant to be a super weapon as a just in case. She also didn't use a carrot to enforce loyalty for the subordinate who was going to be more powerful than her by design.

This made sense for Ruby, since she didn't appreciate just how powerful Lloyd was. She saw how he acted and assumed he was just an underperforming moron. Which, to be fair, is how everyone else saw his personality.

Just a slight injury.

So graceful, even with a dead weight on her back.

That dragon is way too happy.

In the middle of a battle is a perfect time for a history lesson.

This is all information they should've known before, and just waging war to prevent something no one knows about before actually telling anyone and potentially coming to a less hostile conclusion is not the brightest of moves. It just justifies humans trying to exterminate demons.

So you believe that he would die in a back alley when he can survive in impossible mega monster land?
It's not like she helped him grow strong, if she did she wouldn't be so blind to his abilities.
Seems obvious that hes not as brainless as he seems when it comes to surviving.

Anyways I agree with all the people saying this story has gone WAAAAAY off track, what is even the point anymore.

Believe it or not, very few people want redemption for a perennial abuser. Shocking concept, i know

Do you believe if the Demon Lord had come to the Humans and said "Don't use the magic that protects you from monsters, because you are feeding a civilization consuming Fairy Dragon" that they'd have listened in any capacity? Was it a misguided attempt to "save" everyone by causing a war and letting no one on either side know the truth behind her actions? Absolutely. Would some doomer have attempted to wake up the Dragon to wipe out everything had the knowledge been made widespread thinking they can direct the destruction? Almost certainly. If this was a story where Humans and Demons were not in conflict from the jump your idea would have probably worked however.
