Belive it or not, not many people believe a CHILD counts as a unrepentant monster and deserves to die, shocking concept I know
I can actually rather easily believe this, as ive only seen 3 people max wish her to die this chapter and even then, none of them said she deserves to do so.
Now for the part that people actually do agree with: you dont need to be an adult to be unrepentant and you dont need to be an adult to be abusive either. And i think its totally fair to call someone who abused a person for years a monster(and even if you dont, she literally was a monster a couple chapters ago lol).
Also, its not likes shes an infant with no thoughts either, shes old enough to own property and a business, if she can do that, then she should be held responsinle for her actions.
Now if you say that she shouldnt have been in the situation to do these things either and that shes perhaps also a victim of circumstance id agree with you, but that doesnt erase the harm her actions caused and until she does something to adress that, she will stay an unrepentant abuser.
To me it's also an issue of like... does it really take a real catastrophe of this massive calibre for Ruby to understand that some things she blames on others are her own fault? If she doesn't understand she's a horrible person until it starts to threaten the entire world, the realisation is extremely cheap; meaningless, even.
Its kind of bizzare too, because she was on the path to betterment. It was slowly dawning on her after ezekiel gave her that little speech. With a bit more time for introspection and reflection she mightve realised how horrible shes been and maybe she wouldve worked on some way to atone but nope! We gotta throw in the apocalyose to accelerate that, cant have this play out naturally!
