It may be 3 years for us , but for them is a couple of months at most also Seto is quite a bit better than before , like on this chapter he explained his feelings clearly and took anna's kiss without much over the top reaction like before, the boy is improving it's slow but we get there someday.

it being several months in-story very much puts things into perspective.

I admit, I had to take some time to wrap my head around Seto being jealous (possibly a touch possessive?) when he saw Chiita's YT video of Anjou in her swimsuit at the night pool - but when she gives him the green light after telling him she wants him to be more jealous over her, and he just pulls all the way back....feels a touch incongruent to me.

But, I realize that shyness would understandably be hard to crack, especially in such a relatively short period of time - and people are weirdly inconsistent in even their simultaneous feelings all the time, so, yeah.
(Plus...romcom manga do that sort of thing all the time, so there's also a bit of that meta-writing, I'm sure.)

i take it you haven't read any chapter before this. That isn't what he thinks. He is aware that she likes him and vice versa. they are actually dating right now. He just doesn't wanna seem gross cause he thinks she is out of his league, and she has guys hitting on her all the time and he is worried that if he acts like them, trying to get into her pants, that she will lose interest. Also he has a really strict moral code, i am pretty sure he doesn't wanna sleep with her til marriage.
