depending on how long between her defeat and her trial, there's still a possibility she lost her hand in the fight, and if the trial was "finalized" quickly, it wouldn't have healed by the time her "sentence" was being carried out (since it sounded like it started effectively the moment she left the courtroom, if even that long after).

Again...that's the "less-heinous" option, and given everything else about this series, I wouldn't put it past her mutilation being a part of her sentence. And, it's probably left purposefully ambiguous to make it that much more shocking.
