im kinda digging this dress up darli- I mean woodcarving boy meets gal girl. It's a fun chill read, though i wish it had a better title...
if it gets more than 20ish chapters, I can totally see it getting an anime adaptation. It doesn't take much nowadays anyway

 (yeah, I'm looking at you rent a gf)

Looks like Kawai pulled all their uploads, or staff removed them. The group leader looks to have the "Banned" role, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it and them stepping away.

Shit. I'm pretty sure they were doing other series I was reading but now I don't know which ones and have no way to verify, especially since I also lost a bunch of series to Asmodeus getting the boot. It's going to be annoying combing my reading list to find the series that are now purged without any alerts or read history.

EDIT: The group's website now displays only a page that says they have shut down "for personal reasons" with no more hosted content or list of what they were doing.

I did find their reasonably up-to-date (I assume) list from Mangaupdates. And at least of the series I identified that I have been reading thankfully it looks like they have been superceded by other groups so I'm not sure if anything is lost entirely besides this series' first couple chapters.

EDIT 2: According to KawaiScans' discord, some or all of their series are being handed over to KDT Scans or some subsidiary thereof. I don't know what this means for the chapters that Kawai had completed that are now gone. Like is KDT going to replace them at some point?

Why did that student-only section oppress single dudes lol?
Yeah, that's a good question. I assume it's because you'd be suspicious as a male alone, especially if you look older. Or that's a sign for parent and not a dude. I hope someone explains it.

His insecurities are annoying, but I do admit that I can see why she fell for him. He's effortlessly saying exactly what he needs to make her heart throb.

Honestly, I prefer him get lost in his thoughts over the stupid tropes used to create fake conflict, like not getting obvious clues or the annoying goody-two-shoes energy a lot of romcom protagonists have where they calmly listen to everyone's thoughts and take them into consideration so as to never upset anyone, but then also people end up upset for no real reason anyway.

Maybe the idea is that if you show up to a dating spot without a date, it means you're a potential troublemaker who wants to hit on women and such.

Fellas, don't get baited like me. I read the first chapter of the manga and decided I'd read the JP LN. I thought there would be more to the title. Huge regret and waste of my time. This story is extremely bland, especially if you hate cliche's like me. It was a complete slog to get through.

Seika (the heroine) is the classic frail child always in the hospital. She and Kousei were classmates in elementary school. He makes her a doll of her favorite character from her favorite anime to keep her spirits up in the hospital and she keeps it to this day. She recognizes that he made her the doll all those years ago, but he doesn't. Classic cliche misunderstanding and she lashes out, etc. We eventually learn Kousei has trauma from someone requesting a figure from him and them turning around and selling it online (I'm serious). A trauma so big that he can't even ride the train to go to his old hometown LMAO.

I've never rolled my eyes at a story more than this one.

Always wondering why high school charas in manga often forget their friends/classmates from elementary school. I mean it's only 3-9 years distance.

Okay and good for you. now goodbye. I did the same and am enjoying the series. To each their own. Also they weren't really proper classmates as she never attended classes and he only visited her 4 times while she was in the hospital. His words encouraged her to endure through her illness and is the basis for who she has become now as a person. Of course she was shocked when he forgot about her as he was very important to her, but to him he didnt see it as such since he would gladly have done to towards anyone else so he didnt remember her properly. She has been in love with him ever since and has not fully confirmed wether it was him or not and is only 90% sure. Its also why she was stalking him so much just to try and find out if it is him or not. Yes she knows she's being unreasonable as well but she was more mad about the mention of Meguru and was scared he was going to push her away due to her outbursts thinking he must hate her now. She is down bad for him and its adorable, but at the same time she's insecure as hell when it comes to him. He's a bit forgetful and doesn't even remember anything about her until after he sees the figurine again, which isnt really his fault.

Also dont make fun of a person's trauma. Regardless of how small it feels for you. Having his passion and effort that he pours everything into being treated like that. If it was me I would have straight up attacked the other person for such a betrayal out of anger, but Kousei isnt such a person.

Yes and? Are you saying you cant empathize unless its a real person? Just because it's a fictional person doesn't mean it's fine to laugh at their suffering and trauma.
