Mangadex to purge titles for legal reasons

Stop the misinformation. Titles being removed depict sexual activity between characters that are minors, either in appearance (handled on a case-by-case basis) or confirmed in the dialogue. It's about law and compliance with it. If you jerk it off to little kids, go and do it elsewhere; there are sites that specialise in that.
Bruh you do realize a decent chunk of manga is set in high school or even lower right and many of them have a lot ecchi scenes

There are accounts that are older than yours who disagree with these decisions. You are more than welcome to stop reading the thread if it gets your panties in a bunch.
I may not use to forums a lot but I have been using this site for years. The admins actions here do legit piss me off and Im gonna be vocal about it.
The guilty conscience speaks loudest.

For those that don't understand what's going on or why.

Mangadex is going 100% corporate this year. Lolicon shotacon is banned with visa and mastercard and with many corporate banks.

All major lolicon shotacon series that are obvious lolisho hentai or that feature lolisho will be permanently banned from this site.

The popular money maker major shounen shoujo that feature this content won't be removed. This is what they mean by case by case basis. As an example. Even though dragon ball has suggestive loli content in it. It will stay.

The owner decided to go the crunchy roll strategy copying it step by step. Expect paid monthly tiers to come out soon.

When Mangadex first removed a lot due to copyright that was the signal for you to export your list and jump ship. I did a long time ago so I don't have to deal with my Manga getting removed.

This is text book corporatization at work. Only money maker safe horny content will remain. Enjoy your slop and your corporate slop site. 🤣

You’re right I DID remember seeing their post joking about them trying to go legit. I should have taken a screenshot before refreshing.

The fact that the post got nuked means its likely true
Allow me to don my cap of speculation.
quickly wraps head with tin foil

TO CLARIFY THIS IS ALL JUST A GUESS (I.E. SPECULATION). This is just based on what I have observed as consumer of various good and services as well as one who works within the financial industry.

This has nothing to do with the recent law(s) passed in Texas. Its much simpler; Money.

We all know and love that payment processors have effectively unchecked control over what we are allowed to spend money in the digital age and use that power to force their prerogatives on merchants. How does this affect MD? Well you need a payment processor to process all those donations users are giving every month, and if Mr Big PP comes over and sees something he doesn't like. Well, it plays out kind of like you would think a mafia shake down would.

There is also the advertising side of things. Some may have noticed after a certain event that there was an seemingly an increase of one type of title that was being uploaded to MD (Porn. Its porn. lots of porn) . Well most businesses don't like their brand/product being put next to that kind of content which makes it harder to find people that will give you money to advertise on your site (well at least the non-shadey businesses).
guess the initial respond is true

I guess I'm on target huh? 😏
sir!! how it is the feeling of being silence by this tyrannical power tripping regime?

This wiki is thrown around a lot but most of the info in it is false. Wikipedia's co-owner is a notorious anti who consistently tries to make the anime/manga industry look as bad as possible. It reached the point where the FBI even stepped in and told him to knock it off because of how much false info it was spreading about laws.

Lolisho content is technically illegal in about 11 countries. I specify technically because the only nations that actively enforce this are the UK and Australia. In most cases its more like Canada where its not illegal to own but its a legal grey area if you import it. France says this content is illegal but actively make it themselves with series like Wakfu, Dofus, Totally Spies, and Code Lyoko.
Even primary and secondary schools disallow using wikipedia as a source meanwhile you're using it here arguing over legality instead of citing any case law.
If someone has a site they believe does a better job providing an overview on this topic, link it. I'd be interested to see it.
