Sniping suggests speed. The other group is currently 10 chapters behind the raws on a monthly release manga.

I care greatly about who does the job, which is why I think it might be time for a new translator to step in if the old group doesn't change their ways and more importantly, stick to that change. Looking at a growing number of translators who hold onto translations for months or even years and only mass drop them when someone else tries to take over translating.

As you said, "maximize the translation efforts of everyone". We've been drip fed for too long with releases becoming less frequent and the backlog of chapters rising. From my perspective as a reader there has been a lack of effort being put into this series for a while now.

Scanlators have their own lives, things can get in the way. The person is sniping and telling the sappy snail to release faster because they are behind raws. That's kind of shitty to do.

Your takes are kinda crazy in this thread, try leading a group and doing all the work, it's not just translating stuff.

The host asks "Does anyone know this guy?", and even if they do no one wants to admit to it.
Eventually you get a clue and awkwardly leave… but not before one last "And don't do it again!".
Everyone laughs and/or shakes their head, while you leave congratulating yourself on teaching them some manners.

Yeah, someone repeatedly commenting "I wasn't offended" multiple days after the initial comment that could have just been ignored, is definitely not offended by the easily-ignored comment.

I don't particually like how venomous and perverted internet discourse is even in wholesome circles.
I am such an autsist that I will indeed spend days replying to people if it means even the slightest improvement in how we talk to one another.
