What y'all don't get is that 6 months is way enough time to forget everything about a manga, so one month of delay seems fair enough for a lot of us. If the people at Sappy Snail Scans are too busy, since we're not paying them, they should take the time, and they are welcome to resume when they can and want to. It's not that serious. They are even some mangas where they are multiple teams translating it every chapter, where's the issue ? You need to chill out, seriously.

You won't convince people who are thinking "holy shit, new chapter, finally !" that a good translation is in fact bad because someone made those of the previous chapters before and it's first come first serve. It's free, we see it as free, we don't care. You are shouting into the void. It does nothing.

Now, for bad translations or worse, MTL, it's another story. Even worse when the chapter got out one week or even one day before. But here, that's not the case. That's why you're in minority here, as opposed to many other cases.

Sniping suggests speed. The other group is currently 10 chapters behind the raws on a monthly release manga.

I care greatly about who does the job, which is why I think it might be time for a new translator to step in if the old group doesn't change their ways and more importantly, stick to that change. Looking at a growing number of translators who hold onto translations for months or even years and only mass drop them when someone else tries to take over translating.

As you said, "maximize the translation efforts of everyone". We've been drip fed for too long with releases becoming less frequent and the backlog of chapters rising. From my perspective as a reader there has been a lack of effort being put into this series for a while now.

Its kinda funny "juxtaposition" where the supposedly prettiest girl at school is a "cold emotionless zombie" whose brain was thus far 99% committed to her brother, and slowly as iceberg she is finding out what romantic love and stuff is thanks to MC.

While the glasses wearing "plain Jane" has an few years older boyfriend, and they are probably railing each other whenever they meet at either both of their homes assuming there are times they can meet at her place without her brother being there (or with him being there for bonus "excitement"), or just at his place, and/or hotels .

Please avoid the sex talk regarding wholesome manga.
People have sex, cool, but you dont have to mention it, forcing others to think about such.
You could have frankly left it at her having a boyfriend or them being able to get romantic and your point would've been just as valid.

I did not need nor want to think about glasses chan's sex life.

Good effort. Redrawing is just something that will come after time and consistent effort & practice. Picking up previous chapter raws and practicing with those will help you match the style of the artist for this series specifically--and doing that for any given series will help with each distinct style of illustration.

But there's no "magic fix"--just comes down to consistent applied effort.

Beyond that - look around for various tools like different fonts and so on--keep things like readability in mind, and look at other established & successful groups to see how they do things like typesetting and the like. Cleanliness of presentation is a big part of TL work, and while it will take time and improve the more you do it, spending some of that actively studying other quality TL releases and practicing on your own time (when you are able) will push the quality of your own work all the more.

Only other thing I would say, as an etiquette thing--sometimes groups working on certain series just get held up with stuff and don't keep a regular release schedule. Contacting them first if it's been awhile and seeing if it's okay to release a chapter, can go a long way to ensuring you're not stepping on others' toes. There is a general dislike of "snipers" in the TL community, so anything you can reasonably do to avoid that sort of situation will earn you goodwill.

To the chapter itself--yeah, PrettyBoy's not going to give up. Clearly he's used to just getting whatever he feels he's "owed", but hopefully this won't turn into an entire volume's worth of chapters of dealing with him.

ML needs to get his act together, though. Looks like he finally sorted through the fact that he's not okay with her "just dating anyone", but he'll need to stop doing this in half-measures, just as his friend said.
They've got support, and even if she doesn't "get" romantic relationships or dating (a well-worn
trope, but I'm not getting into that here), it's clear the FL does enjoy spending time with him, for him. He's clearly important to her. And even if their relationship progresses and doesn't look "conventional" or whatever, as long as it makes sense to them....that's what's important.

They're already pseudo-parenting between them, anyway. In some senses they've skipped steps in the cohabitation phase of life so. I'm betting she'd not let her kid brother be taken care of by just anyone.
As is always the case--they need to just sit down and talk about what they want. He needs to get over this "am I really good enough" mental block, and she needs to be told clearly that he likes her and wants to be with her romantically--but that they can not sweat the "how-to" business, just keep doing what they're doing, but that maybe they should go see a movie by themselves sans children siblings, or someth
