People, I'm still blown away. This is brutally good: peak fiction right here. This girl is the best. Honestly, Kimura doesn't think of himself as relevant. I remember the sad face Kawashima made several chapters back when she confessed to him, and he said that being with someone like him isn't worth it. For him, the protagonists' lives are the only ones that matter—their desires, their ambitions, and his ship of childhood friends. He treats all of this like a novel in his own eyes, while the others see it as their real life. This isn't rushed; it's not a complete 180-degree turn. Despite how absurd this manga has been so far, Kawashima has always observed it, valued it, grown, and has more courage to speak up because Kimura has always pushed her to be honest and get what she wants. What she and Ei had when they were little doesn't compare to the emotions, respect, and affection she feels for Kimura. She thinks about him, she loves him, and when he decides to risk his life to save the protagonist, she simply can't bear it anymore. Honestly, my hopes are that Manaka and Kimura end up together and Ei ends up with Tabaki. Ladies and gentlemen, this manga has finished its epilogue, and now the real story begins.

Aside from the issue of the mangaka getting paid or whatever, I have to say that my god people are dumb.

The #1 rule of pirated content is not to go around advertising that you have or are getting pirated content. Yes, Mangadex is making no effort to hide itself, but going right to the author and essentially shouting that you're getting their work for free through pirate channels is asking for trouble.

This is just like when other big scanlation sites get shut down and people go on twitter and publicly tweet out how happy they are to now be reading on another new, low-key site, complete with links to it.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Eh, I'm already rooting for this site to collapse ever since they started censoring material in an attempt to go legit.

That said I am in agreement with not having to rub the piracy of one's hard work into their faces. It's plain mean spirited and rude.

Its not just Western fans. You should look into the shit Japanese fans get up to. There are very valid reasons so many mangaka publish anonymously.

You have to admit though that the portion of the western anime "fanbase" of a certain concentration of melanin has a tendency of brigading authors/artists for perceived slights on social media.

Man, I get it, i read for free and I would never demand the creator to do something with their work. I may ask or provide feedback (if initiated by the creator). Or offer a commission if they need it.
I have been on the other side as a game modder and some people are just f*king awful as if my free work is theirs to do and judge as they please at my time and expenses. The artist is correct, but I may have added a line to tell the loudest free readers to go f* themselves.

I dislike some of those shi*** services, but I do pay for webtoon, tapas, or other official licensed e-books when they do become available. Note I'm not trying to flex but point out that I'm being respectful of the artists/creators and their wishes.
