yeah holy shit, I saw those heartglasses and I knew immediately. Interesting that Itou's grandma knew this monster guy in her youth makes me think that if Takahashi took Itou over she'd just end up staring down the barrel of a gun when she inevitably goes to visit "her" grandmother like a good "normal" girl.

Huh... rereading chapter 4, Granny did seem pretty suspicious of Takahashi, wonder why she gave her the pass? Especially when Takahashi nearly ate her in chapter 6...

Perhaps, Granny's Gay-dar clocked Itou, and her Monster-dar clocked Takahashi and she didn't want her granddaughter to miss out on some peak toxic monster yuri?? 👀👀👀

I gotta say, the old timer had a real cute way of saying "child killers should be allowed to have fun sometimes too." NAH. That's a no from me big dawg.

People being fake af is not an excuse to make murder a cool thing to do. I will say though, the idea that there is common ground between humans and monsters is interesting. Our co-heroit (do we know if monsters have genders?) who is a seasoned murderer, likes the same song as our main girl. A monster and a human can both experience joy from the same things. The way we do that with our friends. Sharing our hobbies is very human. So in a way, the monsters are being humanized here.

I still haven't seen any reason to not kill them all right now though. I can come up with ways they could co-exist with humans but the only thing the manga has shown us is that they can enjoy parts of life the way we do. To which I say, so can a human who murders for fun, doesn't mean we should let them wander around freely to create more victims.

I really am curious to see if the manga will present any solution to this existential danger that monsters present to humanity.

There are hints in previous chapters, but it takes a certain leap of logic to figure out the answer imo. It is possible but unlikely.

No, the woman from the park manager's backstory is Itou's grandmother. Itou, as far as we know, is a full human.

Since Hiraizumi was acting semi autonomously, we can perhaps infer that the current Mr N is a similar story. That means that the original body is someone who must have known Mr N before Takahashi lured him away to eat him, which makes it likely that it's someone in Itou's class. Of Itou's classmates only Ooki and Kotaki I think have been introduced so perhaps one of them was the original?

Unless you mean what kind of monster in which case Mr N is clearly a shapeshifting chamelon slender man.

To add in, I want to point out that Mr N somehow knew Haraizumi was killed, and in the previous chapter, Hiraizumi somehow knew that Mr N didn't or wouldn't scold Takahashi.
My blind guess is that the shapeshifters can communicate with each other and know what each one is up to.
Think one person controlling two bodies sort of thing.
