The F!... the homoerotic/NTR undertones, the heavy drug parallels, the vastly different emotional/social intelligence, the societal disparity, the introversion, the mental spiciness.

Oh Wim my boy... how far have you sailed without any star to guide you.

So now i think little stalker girl did something in the past, something that contributed to his current state, i would even say that she is not a stalker driven by love but by regret... she keeps notes, not because she is infatuated, but because she is keeping a score, a score of how much Wim is in there

Damn that feeling is relatable
like you want to fit in but because you don’t want to ruin things you hold your true self back & it’s suffocating

What an interesting parallel proposed by the author.
Wimm's experiences mirroring the authors own perhaps. Illustrating the experience of trying to overcome self-doubt and self admonishment through drug addiction or masking his true self, or whatever helped him get through the workday, actually reaching a goal and experiencing what you had thought wanted this entire time, only to fall into your old habits and finding comfort in your old vices or in isolation again.

Wimm is atleast recognizing that what he thought he wanted was normal but while he is currently falling into his old addiction or habits again and experiencing a flood of dopamine but I'm sure Heidemare will save him in the end, but I'm very excited to see how the author describes his mental process of getting over whatever issue he's depicting.

Damn... you're all giving ole Wimm far too many passes. I'm going to put on my Team Leader hat and tell you that Wimm is a nice guy and brings a lot of skills and talents to the team as a whole... but oh, is he ever so fucking fired or at the very least removed from active duty.

The way they've shown a large guild works requires many teams working in tandem to effectively and securely explore and catalog every floor in the dungeon. Every level brings new discoveries that expand the whole body of knowledge of how the dungeon works. It may be done by individual teams, but this is essentially a national effort. To be recognised as a reliable guild, you must have discipline within the teams to perform their duties. The worst sin you can commit is to fail to complete your assigned tasks or do them so poorly thru distraction you might as well not have bothered.

A guy like Wimm who is hiding a mental condition and feels compelled to put himself at personal risk is not the kind of person you want on a team. He's either going to neglect his assigned duties in favor of pursuing personal interests or worse, drag everyone else into extreme danger in pursuit of a dopamine hit. He may be great, but is worth the trouble? I'd say no. Fuck him. Put on extended leave and force him to commit to a strict recovery plan or else drum him out before he gets people killed.

This is kinda deep.

In the sense that... When you've been in a bad place, let's say jail. And you get out and get your freedom back, that same freedom becomes a rope on you, you come from suffering, from pain and degeneracy inside. Almost nothing good comes out of that environment... But you miss it. You got so used to that negative lifestyle that becomes confortable. And when you get a chance, like the 180 the MC had, It becomes overwhelming. Too much, too soon. Is not like the yearning of his freedom was fake, but just as life takes BAD turns in a second it does for good too. But, change, if sudden, can fuck you up real bad, even if the change is for the better. He was so deep on his shitty life he can't fit with normal people, there's where I wanted to go with the jail alegory.

This is taken to the absolute extreme, of course. But I've felt a hint of what he's talking about. I wonder how the author will pull him out of that state of self-imprisonment, someone will die? someone will be hurt badly because they were to save him? Is he going to die? So many questions, only so much author can do.

Like Shawshank Redemption said…after enough time, you get institutionalized. You can’t find your way back without help.
