Sometimes it's glorious mecha action, sometimes it's multi-chapter rape because reasons.

There’s being anti-censorship…and then there’s the story blatantly getting worse because of it, though. The pacing is just horrible in rebellion. And the constant flashbacks.

Jinrouki winvurga managed to be porn, and a mech fighting manga that moved at a brisk pace and developed many characters at once.

Jinrouki winvurga rebellion…takes forever and has developed no one.

It’s pretty obvious the editors were keeping him on track in the original series. When left to his own devices, he just spirals into power creep and overly long explanations for magical bs.

Heck, even the sex is getting repetitive.

and I know this isn’t a new problem. I went back to read the novel chapters on his website and…granted I used Google Translate but there’s only so many times someone can shove something ridiculous into a vagina and have Mashiro go “I’m being defiant” before you realize it’s the same 2 actions over and over and over and over again.

The editors were what made Jinrouki winvurga good to begin with. They stopped the repetition and forced the author to move along to a new scene/action/plot.

For every one creator who was hampered by censorship, there’s a hundred more who really needed someone to stop them from themselves.

Limitations are not the end of the world. Overcoming limitations makes great art. Jaws is awesome specifically because the shark never worked and they had to find another way to show its pretense.

That's also my issue with this series. I had to think back if this two have ever talked before this chapter. It feels like such a random pick for it to be them two, since he was always teased to potentially be paired with Mashiro

Yeah no. Zane and Humana have never been an item. This is a “I need to make the parents someone…so who is left” matchup.

Though, I’m pretty sure Yomi already lost her virginity like 3 times so it’s not like the author forgets continuity just to do more porn. /sarcasm

I’m not really sure how yomi survived, but then again we had someone survive a gunshot to the head with seemingly not even a scar so… this universe is stupid sometimes. I fully expect at this point the woman who straight up got vaporized by a laser to come back to life. Also the one who suicide bombed herself. They’re probably both fine.

Heck, somehow, after giving birth, Mashiro will somehow have her hymen reattached to be “a virgin again” somehow. That way winvurga can be her first. And Zane. And whoever else really made it a big deal on the hero team to take her virginity.

Pretty sure that was her corpse he took away. And he ain't really a medic, last I checked.

Yeah. Now, I can’t remember which “obvious death” Yomi had but… she either flat out exploded with limbs and half her stomach missing…or vaporized by a laser. Either way, she should be fucking dead.

Okay, went back and looked at it. Yomi got stabbed through the abdomen, then blew up, then got gang raped while giving a “obviously dying speech” because she acted like a mentor to Mashiro and the mentor has to die for the hero to step up.

That really should be a death sentence for a character.

But fine, she’s back….using armor that only works if she’s a virgin because I guess she still is one….despite the gang rape.

Also, holy crap going back and rereading the original… the OG is so much better. It juggled so many character stories so much better/faster.

And this really undermines everything the OG was doing. So after doing the mentor pass the torch moment, the hero gets side lined and you bring back the mentor.

Argh. This is literally mythic structure 101. Empire Strikes Back does not start off with Luke being kidnapped, then Obi Wan coming back from the dead.

I know this is just porn but…I would appreciate it if my porn didn’t suck at basic storytelling.

I miss the editors so much. They kept the author on track. Without them this series just spiraled.

I'm pretty sure "virginity restoration" is the last thing the Dominators would have, let alone a guy who specializes in blowing up wombs.

My guess is that he wrote himself in a corner and wrote her back in a hurry without thinking it through.

Later on, he'll look back at this and be all "WTF did I write?".

I have no idea why people think Yomi died and are very surprised she's here... Yeah, she was heavily injured the last time we saw her. But we already have Dominators with cybernetic enhancements pop up after sustaining heavier damage, and Dolman surviving a headshot. And that scene (from the OG JW) already confirmed she's still alive and Nect kidnapped her...

It's not really a passing the torch moment from mentor to student when we already knew right off the bat that she's likely to survive because of Nect.

Is it because people just forgot what happened then? (How many years ago was that chapter???)
