I simply wanted to drop a quick, friendly reminder about how the account deletion process works on MangaDex.

When you choose to delete your account, you are presented with a final safeguard popup:


To help keep your reading history and bookmarks safe, we want to clarify exactly what this warning means:

• No grace period: The 28-day timeframe is simply the maximum time it can take for our backend systems to fully clear your data. It isn't a timer that allows you to cancel the process later.
• No "undo": Once you click confirm, the deletion process begins immediately. Not even us can pause, cancel, or reverse the process for you (sneezing while that popup is displayed is not recommended).
• Data is permanently removed: Once the process begins, we cannot restore your account, your settings, or your reading lists.

If you ever feel like taking a break from MangaDex, simply log out instead! Your account will be right here waiting for you when you return. View attachment 57180

Cuando eliges eliminar tu cuenta, aparece una ventana emergente de advertencia final:


Para ayudar a mantener a salvo vuestro historial de lectura y marcadores, queremos aclarar exactamente qué significa esta advertencia:

• Sin periodo de gracia: El plazo de 28 días es simplemente el tiempo máximo que pueden tardar nuestros sistemas en borrar completamente vuestros datos. No es un temporizador que os permita cancelar el proceso más tarde.
• Sin vuelta atrás: Una vez que haces clic en confirmar, el proceso de eliminación comienza inmediatamente. Ni siquiera nuestro equipo puede pausar, cancelar o revertir el proceso por ti (no recomendamos estornudar mientras esa ventana esté abierta).
• Los datos se eliminan permanentemente: Una vez que el proceso comienza, no podemos restaurar tu cuenta, tus ajustes ni tus listas de lectura.

• Sem opção "desfazer": Assim que você clica em confirmar, o processo de exclusão começa imediatamente. Nem mesmo nossa equipe consegue pausar, cancelar ou reverter o processo para você (espirrar enquanto o aviso estiver na tela não é recomendado).

Lorsque vous choisissez de supprimer votre compte, une dernière fenêtre d'avertissement s'affiche :


Pour vous aider à garder votre historique de lecture et vos marque-pages en sécurité, nous tenons à clarifier exactement ce que signifie cet avertissement :

• Aucun délai de grâce : Le délai de 28 jours correspond simplement au temps maximum nécessaire à nos systèmes pour effacer complètement vos données. Il ne s'agit pas d'un compte à rebours vous permettant d'annuler le processus plus tard.
• Aucune annulation possible : Une fois que vous avez cliqué sur confirmer, le processus de suppression commence immédiatement. Même notre équipe n'est pas en mesure de mettre en pause, d'annuler ou d'inverser le processus pour vous (éternuer pendant que cette fenêtre est affichée n'est pas recommandé).

MangaDex is bad at syncronising stuff, it even has trouble remembering things without cookies (Dex's favourite snack), so it's really unlikely to happen. Let's be honest, it won't happen even if you make an astral projection to meet EthNeko.
