Might seem harsh but it's nice to see the realistic response of them not endangering them selves by worrying overly about the dead weight unlike so many other manga.

Thats gota be one of the ugliest "Slime"? designs I've seen yet, it straight up looks like a trash slime or swamp slime design, looks hella dirty, would 100% not want to be touched by that thing at all, feels like it would be extremely smelly

Think it's more the perspective then that the slime went totally flat. Because it looks massive compared to the girls.

Also considering the ammount of time kid spent inside the slime, I would be surprised if he survives.
