I think this is the first time that she felt the true FEAR and unable to contain that she showed MC her weakness.
A big weakness cause she always acts and play strong in front of everyone but now she definitively doesnt know what to do anymore.
She told him cause he is the only person who saw throught her and her act of everyday.
We saw her being completly flustered cause she just realize someone really and genuinely care about her as a person.

I really appreciate the way she is written and it seems her developement will begin soon. Right now is just the start.

By far the most interesting character to see and depending her developement she could be the best character of the manga and even in all romcoms!

Each chapter she becomes more and more a special character and I love that!

Kusunoki might be really wonderful and cute but damn Hebikawa is just built different!

Kusunoki is just objectively boring, she's not bad or anything as a love interest but the author played it way too safe with her so she'd be "likeable" to everyone while Hebikawa doesn't have to be likeable and it made her way more dynamic and interesting.

There was an initial hook for her character but then she is actually Miss Perfect, so the whole "failing her glow up debut" is negated and leaving her with little personality. Snek has great personality though.

This is why I'm in the Moe Gang, because she's complex, interesting, and better-written than Kusunoki while also not being a massive snek. Best of both worlds. (Plus tomboy.)

Complex? Moe? What complexity does she even have? We know she is into sports, and that she likes the MC. There is no complexity there. Are we reading the same manga?

People don't like Kusunoki because they see her as too plain, too boring, and too poorly written. She's basically the typical FMC for this kind of story. Hebikawa, on the other hand, is seen as more complex, more interesting, and better written. Because of that, a lot of people think she's the better match for Keisuke. The irony is that Hebikawa's "complexity" comes largely from her flaws, but some readers treat those flaws as depth rather than dysfunction.

Careful now. You may upset the "I want her to kill me" cringe losers. The type of people who want to just "be different", but the second any S&M happens they will crawl on the feetle position sucking their thumbs.
