Kind of set themselves up to have to go that route. They promised beforehand to whoever it ended up being that there'd be no sexual harassment, so it's taking a really shitty loophole that will definitely fuck Tera over. At least it'll start some interesting drama.

He actually mentioned this near when the manga started serialising, not sure why it's only just becoming news. I do like that he gave confirmation he wanted to return to his style of storytelling from his days of writing HEN. Maybe the people saying "aliens when?" will finally drop their one terrible joke.

We're barely into it. Oku has said he's aiming for around 10 volumes and that it will be similar to HEN, focusing on gender in psychology and sociology. I would say it might be better to tap out if a cut and dry drama about a man finding out what it's like to live as a woman (and whatever else he discovers down the line about the world or himself) doesn't sound like an interesting story to you.

Having guys lust on you ad-nauseam is not "finding out what being a woman is like". It shows a complete lack of emotional maturity from the author that this is limited to that. Also, aside from that, there's little else going on as of now which is why I asked: what's the plot?

In japan.. it kind of is like that for a lot of women, especially very attractive women. Why do you think they developed seperate train cars just for women? And again, the base plot has been explained, further exploration will come. Were you asking the same questions 20 chapters into Gantz? When there was no clear end goal in site besides killing aliens? Might be a surprise but sometimes plots develop over time. I trust this authors sense of direction over a puzzled readers. It’s par for the course for him

It's a daily life drama, those tend not to have a single through-line, but this one (again!) does; a man takes a drug that turns him into a beautiful woman, new experiences ensue one by one. If (again!!) that plot doesn't sound like something you're interested in, you're free to stop reading. I can't think what shows a complete lack of emotional maturity. The only thing that comes to mind is the stalker scene being a little rushed, but that's how those things can happen. They come out of nowhere.

The manga has been very successful in Japan, to the point of already having a second printing on volume 1 before volume 2 is even out. Clearly a majority of people reading it are enjoying it for what it is, so saying it would've been cancelled if not for Oku is absolutely not accurate.

Oku said that he was surprised that this manga was popular between females in Japan (before the stalker scene), so he wanted to "show how difficult being a woman is". And then dropped the stalker chapter. We can say whatever but he is here to fulfill some people fantasies (including him), the problem is that is from an unrealistic and immature point of view.

You really think Goh can survive without ID in Japan? He will be asked for a My Number Card just to enter to the building. Idols are a very big thing in Japan, and he is going to a popular agency for it. Maybe a underground Idol that performs in some shady concert hall could skip the ID (I don't think so but that would be more realistic). In Kojinsa Arimasu they solved this very quickly when they explain that the government has an special procedure for it.

And that is one the issues. The other big one is that he never expressed curiosity in become a girl before the transformation. In fact he was angry because the change and disbelief that the drug was real. And then from one panel to another he is acting like any 17 years old girl. If you tell me that the drug can provoke mental changes as well and everyone at least notice such mental changes, well, yeah, that could be cool. But no, lets rush to the main goal of this manga....
