So Kusunoki’s kindness is starting to weaken Hebikawa’s poison, and she’s second-guessing her plan, huh? She’ll probably still go through with it, though. Otherwise, the story would lose one of its main conflicts.

Translation staff group chat:
10% "Oh you added an extra word here."
90% "How tf did he hit a home run with a bunt!?!??!"

Thanks for reading!!
@NamekazeMinato

It wasn't him who scored. It was an RBI that won them the game. Keisuke only reached first base. The game was tied 3–3, they already had two outs, the bases were loaded, and it was the last inning. With the bases loaded, the runner on third was forced to run home when Keisuke hit the ball. Since there were already two outs, though, if Keisuke had been thrown out at first on a force out, that would've been the third out and the run wouldn't have counted, even if the runner from third had already crossed home. So Keisuke reaching first safely was essential for the run to count.

How complex are baseball rules? Yes.

It's painfully ironic how both girls are agonizing over this "conflict" between them. Given how much it's weighing on both of them it's pretty obvious that their friendship is more than strong enough to survive some love rivalry. They just need to stop dancing around each other.

Why is volleyball is consistently called table tennis this entire chapter?
it's not. Table tennis is the other activity, coed, for those who doesn't do volleyball or baseball, it was the whole thing not to be selected to do baseball or volleyball in the previous chapters. They mention it, but just don't show it since all main characters ended up on volleyball/baseball teams.
