I don't feel like setting this up as a cliffhanger really works. If you think about it, the downside of telling a story through a flashback is that we already know how it ends. We know that Snek comes out on top, despite the hit, because Snek still exists in the present day and the doctor is never mentioned in the present. We know that Snek and Centipede have an interaction because both still exist in the present day. There are still some specifics, but we know the majority because the story is hindsight. It's like someone watching Star Wars prequels and asking "Oh man, can Anakin Skywalker resist the dark side?" and then you remember the answer is "lol no" because we already know he becomes Darth Vader in the original trilogy.Well, too bad only me and two other people have the whole Volume. See you guys next week.
Yeah it is but the real fun part is to know how it reaches that point.I don't feel like setting this up as a cliffhanger really works. it doesnt mean the snake won, it could have just fled. the doctors legacy, even if he died could be setting up for a new conflict in the current era. it is a bit foreboding that he was creating a curse by fusing a person with strong spiritual power with animals, when dara herself is a fusion of a spiritually powerful human with a cursed snake.I don't feel like setting this up as a cliffhanger really works. Seeing as how Mengele and Unit 731 both engaged in similar experiments, even if less ambitious (grafting body parts from one prisoner to another; or from one twin to another), hundreds of years later, it's unlikely much of this particular madman's work survived.the doctors legacy, even if he died could be setting up for a new conflict in the current era.
I think the point here isn't the "mystery of the unknown" story, but rather "the understanding of past events"... I have to admit, as I wrote this, I am not certain those are the best ways to describe my line of thought, but please bear with me a little as I stumble to an explanation.I don't feel like setting this up as a cliffhanger really works.
