This is who first came to my mind.
I'm no true veteran, but I have taught before and can tell you from experience that this would be a difficult situation to deal with as a teacher. Those kids are psychologically messed up to a ridiculous degree, they need professional help (especially the girl) because if this is the kind of shit they get up to at this age, lord only knows what's coming in the future. Expulsion is just a way for the school to shift that responsibility on someone else. What one should do when faced with degeneracy that is beyond the teacher's capacity to address, is get the authorities involved so the courts can get them on mandatory wardship, then cooperate with the state and parents (hopefully not as broken as the kids) in keeping an eye on them. It's difficult in this case because they haven't gotten in trouble with the law yet and as long as that is true, the court's stance is likely to vary quite a lot.I'm here for the END for him and everyone on his side! I don't SUPER HATE Miyuki, but I will enjoy when things go badly for her the longer she refuses to take responsibility for her actions and dig her hole deeper (likely because I did shitty things LIKE HER at that age, I got away with it by being a fucking coward and relying on my rep to my accomplice as I was known as a good kid, even tried to atone with my victim, but frankly speaking, it's apart of my past I LOATHE and so I'm HARDER on those who made the same bad choices like me, cause I want them to do better or atone! It's why I'm on Miyuki's ass when she doubles down or hurts her loved ones, and like her ABIT when she's doing better, though ABIT is because she only gets better AFTER the point to make it right pass, the point she could REDEEM herself, hence as I said she can only ATONE! Too little too late to redeem herself with this life, she can only hope the NEXT will work out for her....and by that I don't mean reincarnation, I mean where she will go after her expulsion!)
But then also don't forget "this is japan made by a japanese writer with the mindset of the culture in mind!" What you said is right and I agree, but then I'm reminded about what I know of Japan that I can't go "why don't they do this" because I remember their culture is abit of the cause. So you do have to take that into mind!I'm no true veteran, but I have taught before and can tell you from experience that this would be a difficult situation to deal with as a teacher. As "slicerlucas" postedWhat happened to Tachibana Senpai?
I agree with you on!
I dislike Miyuki for her BAD choices, and that reasoning made me dislike her more because in the end she never considered what OTHERS were going through because of her DADDY ISSUES! But in the end, I wished for ATONEMENT from her and I do like how that is happening, it's muddled by how much had to happen before it got into her fucking stone head she had to atone instead of feeling sorry for herself which happy Ai slapped reality into her! But the biggest was even when thanks to Endou's picture and Kondo dropping the ball just to kick the dog, she still didn't confess while she had the chance till the Teacher had to find VIDEO EVIDENCE of what actually happened
But yeah Atonement is what I want, this isn't REDEEMPTION for Miyuki, Redeem only means she did something LESS WORSE then what she did. But Atonement is her FINALLY doing what is right for Eiji instead of being the Parasite she was! Her suicide attempt Ai stopped REALLY made me dislike her because she was missing the point of her actions, she never ONCE thought "how this would effect, Auntie Aono, Eiji, Satoshi, MY MOTHER!" Instead she chose the slimey "What they won't know won't hurt them" and in the end, it DID hurt them! Seeing her lose each one of those listed was MUSIC to me, the LOVE in Ms. Aono changing to hate, Eiji unable to know how to deal with her, her mother both here AND later on! And Satoshi GENTLY ending their friendship, which felt like the needle that collpased the Camel's back LOL! Miyuki got what she truly deserved, but it took abit for her to finally realize she should be ATONING, not "Feeling sorry for herself" especially when Kondo revealed the truth, showing exactly what you said, she never should have expected Eiji to fill that hole, or expected him to fill it at all! It should have been an easy hole to fill seeing how the man treated her and her mother even to the current times, yet she really couldn't come to terms after a DECADE that her father wasn't worth considering....and that made her PREY for Kondo, someone who she THOUGHT could fill the hole, because as her mother illustrates later, THE POS IS EXACTLY LIKE HIM! Likely the biggest reason Miyuki THOUGHT he could, because she was seeing HIM and NOT Kondo! And she ruined her current life on indivduals who shouldn't matter
AT best Miyuki should take these lessons going further and accept her imperfections, right now she's young so she may fall off course, but knowing her being alone AGAIN is her own fault, should hopefully help her to not make the same mistakes if she does repair her life!
It's called CHARACTER GROWTH and I LOVE IT, especially if it's done on one who jumped into SHIT like her and FINALLY realizes "they shouldn't have done that! For someone like Kondo, it's good he stays one dimiensional, maybe Juvie will break that entitled spine of his, but it's just as likely he'll triple down, but in that case, what will he have coming out of it. NOTHING, he's worse off then "HER" (not Miyuki or Eri, Novel readers know who I'm talking about!) who is going to adult prison, and no matter HOW SMART she was, or her accomplishments (all done DIRTY, especially what she had Kondo do to Eri to get most of those instead of legitimately) won't matter, she will FOREVER be a Con, and at the mercy of OTHERS opinion on if she deserves a second chance....or if she will just go back to her ways that LEAD to her being a Convict in the first place! Kondo at least HAS A CHANCE with his records sealed provided he does nothing else, but I see him not learning, and so making things WORSE especially as he's a NOBODY at this point, and later will have to fear anyone from School REMEMBERING him in the future as Miyuki will have to fear for herself!
That one also as wellThis is who first came to my mind.

Indeed, it's why I can't feel sorry too much for Eri, and why she's a perfect foil to Miyuki@TheEnd478 and @zeronf
Eri
still continues a dangerous person herself and another people because she doesn't thinks about her future. She still really wants to "fix" her pasts mistakes: "To die with Kondo together", because he destroyed her life (Eri POV).
But Miyuki,
since Ai intervention, now is trying to think how to make amends with herself first, because guilt still consume her. She doesnt know how to make this because she still belives will be a hypocrite if try to change herself (like the intervention in Ritsu "date"). Yes, she is consciencious that is too late to think about this, and like the "suicide route" was denied for her, only in this moment she can think about her past mistakes and how to move forward.
Miyuki makes remember Shouya, from Silent Voice/Koi no Katachi, he never really thought about Shouko, but when he sufferring all the bullying from old classmates, he finally could think about own beheaviour, and try to make amends with Shouko, even he already knowing is very hypocrysy from him.
For Eri, I still wanna read more about Eri after assault tentative and talk with Yumi, maybe something change?Indeed, it's why I can't feel sorry too much for Eri, and why she's a perfect foil to Miyuki
One chose to atone and acknowledge her mistakes, the other chose to QUAD down and learn nothing! Its funny after seeing Endou's depressing flashback to know HE has a future with his OWN Ai and the fact he has friends and restarted his life! Eri in the end, was a "childhood friend that didn't work out" but unlike Miyuki where there IS some tradegy you can feel abit for her! Wth Eri she blew up her own life. That Yandere just adds to Endou's "Otaku Revenge" on Kondo, especially since Endou is DONE with Kondo, in the end HE will be the one to move forward in life! While Eri is among teh many, the other being the Soccer Club who's futures they destroyed for Kondo that will forever haunt the POS! He will never know peace, and it's clear nothing short of "Someone reincarnated as him" isekai scenario will ever get him to change as he will NEVER CHANGE! He'll likely become subdue but otherwise will never change or evolve as a person, this is the end of the road for him
I guess it's why even when both girls were rotten, Miyuki at least HAD the guilt of what she did showing, she just need the push that was "those who ruined her being ruined themselves AND revaling their part in playing her and the conseqeunces" to start the show!
Her suicide denied is similar to what happened with Ai herself AND Eiji! Once they stopped to think instead of "Woe is me" depression did it finally click, and for Miyuki it was one of MANY to crack that stone she calls a skull for it to settle in that they DO have a reason to live if not to hurt those who LOVE THEM that they weren't thinking of because of the depression fog making "the easy way out" so appealing, and feeling abit worse once it cleared up and they realize what they almost did! It best shows that "you don't have to do anything alone (hell Miyuki's SAVE was only because Ai was thinking of Eiji and not her and she KNOWS IT, but still)
For Miyuki, her life isn't over, yes she lost what she squandered, but that is something she must atone for and rightfully suffer, her mom gave up ALOT for her, and Satoshi and Eiji, even if they "never want to see her again" by her own actions and choices, would STILL never be happy with her death! IT was time for her to grow the fuck up. That is something that will never dawn on Eri! I suspect likely once MUCH of her life is over will she finally realize she wasted it on Kondo STILL...where in Endou finally got out of his rut and will be happy, something even HER selfish ass has to admit he deserved! I can imagine her one the wrong side of 40 and realizing she STILL wasted even her youth atoning instead focusing on Kondo and nothing but him. In the end she had TWO CHANCES and she squandered them, the first being when he dumped her, and the second when Endou revealed the truth to her. In that scenario Kondo would still suffer, but as you said, because she REFUSES to think of the future....well she's a big girl and can make her own choices
Still such a pity with Eri, even if as I made clear compared to Miyuki who I somewhat laughed when shit hit the fan for her, I 100% laughed as much as watching Kondo and Tachibana's fortune's turning when Kondo dumped her POS ass! Even if Kondo manipulated abit, again, it was still on them, and while Miyuki handled it POORLY, Eri showed, especially with this more DETAIL flashback along with the other one that "she was ALWAYS going to turn into a horrible person, it just took the RIGHT oppurtunity" The story makes you pity Miyuki, but it REALLY makes you LOATHE Eri, even what happens when they show her again modern times showing whatever shine she MIGHT HAVE HAD when she was with Endou before betraying him, yeah that's gone forever!......and reminds me I CAN'T WAIT to see Kondo's face FOREVER never have that smugness again, or not for very long then usual when shit hits the fan for him!
I only pity Eri abit since she reminds me of my idiot younger brother, a drunk who also ruined his life because of the opposite sex and doubles down, refusing to BETTER himself since it's SO EASY to live in delusion instead! I can only shake my head
Since I'm a sucker for this type of stuff, what happen to Eri? Okatu-kun's childhood friend? Also, apologies if you already asks this beforeAs "slicerlucas" posted
I dislike Eri as unlike Miyuki who is also a sore spot to me, Eri still had MORE AGENCY and was full of herself, what she did to Endou, how she NEVER apologized for what she did, and her lack of remorse as she pathetically tries to win Kondo back, including RUNNING BACK TO HIM
But finding out her life was RUINED all because of some BITCH who hated competeting with her over who was smart has to fucking HURT! That same bitch had the SAME MINDSET with Eiji as well, Eiji was PROUD of his novel, it was something he wanted to do, and Tachibana wanted to ruin that and NEAR DESTROYED HIS LIFE all because she didn't want someone doing it BEFORE SHE COULD! Now as a Convict, she doesn't have to TRY anymore, her record assures no one will ever give her a chance to show ANY of her talent or skills! I can care less more for the pain her actions and enticing Kondo did to others like Eiji and Endou, Miyuki is only in this category in the MINOR OF TERMS as just with Eri, THEY CHOSE TO BE HORRIBLE AND SIDE WITH KONDO!
It was still THEIR FUCKING CHOICE! Miyuki at least has her GUILT, Eri never felt guilty at all, as not shown, and guessing Endou erased it from his mind, Eri after being dumped DID run into Endou, and thought to "worm her way back into his life" she only backed off because he was SERIOUS in seeing her like a stranger, I think he LITERALLY walked by her like she was a ghost! This broke her and was why she ran back to Kondo as pathetic as ever, she was MORE SCARED by the fury he was carrying when passing her that she saw him as an ENEMY THAT WILL DESTROY HER FOR WHAT SHE DID! Hence why I said she's a coward, so her true downfall along with Miyuki, well you do get to see her POV and it's just SAD how she fell, she became what Kondo claimed she became when he dumped her, a clingy PATHETIC woman....only so late did she realize that was majorly him, but a large part was because of her own bad behavior! Knowing Tachibana was the one to sic him on her in the first place and NOT because of anything SPECIAL about her means it was all for nothing, betraying Endou, she lost everything!
Endou doesn't know it right now, but a former MUTUAL of his and Eri makes it VERY CLEAR TO HIM that their other mutuals were ALWAYS ON HIS SIDE and gave him space, his "isolation" was a choice he made and thought ruined his other relationships when it didn't! But in the end, Eri has nothing, not even her PARENTS soon enough after the disownment goes through
Also nice bringing up Silent Voice! What I loved about that series and I see why you brought it up and@TheEnd478 and @zeronf

Hopefully! Still holding my fingers crossed for that to happenFor Eri, I still wanna read more about Eri after assault tentative and talk with Yumi, maybe something change?
slicerlucas has it down but she isn't gone from the story yetSince I'm a sucker for this type of stuff, what happen to Eri? Okatu-kun's childhood friend? Also, apologies if you already asks this before
Yeah it's why I said I feel A LITTLE for her! But as saidThe fact that Miyuki only started trying to atone for her actions when she had no other choice is exactly why I don't believe her remorse is genuine. In my opinion, Miyuki is a terrible person, and she still hasn't changed. She had plenty of opportunities to make things right, but she did nothing. It was only after she lost everything that she started trying to redeem herself. But that doesn't change the fact that I can't help thinking she only did so because her situation and everything she had done were completely exposed. This makes it seem like Miyuki isn't sorry for what she did, but rather that she got caught.
Having daddy issues doesn't seem like a good enough reason to justify her actions. She chose to cheat on her boyfriend and pretend everything was fine, all while lying to herself. Even after everything that happened because of her affair, she continued to be Kondo's lapdog until he made it clear that he saw her as disposable. She used the affair as a way to escape the reality she herself had created, refusing to face it until she had no choice. So, no matter what she does to redeem herself now, it's unlikely to come across as genuine remorse rather than an attempt to ease her own pain.
Honestly, assuming Eiji didn't know about Miyuki's cheating, I think she would have continued dating him as if nothing had happened even after Kondo discarded her.
If the author wanted me to believe that Miyuki is a good person, or that she could become one, he should have had her start trying to make things right before her life completely fell apart.
