Well really, I can't consider her being a slut with regards to this hotel situation, again, if Luna made it clear she was looking to have fun then yeah, but with what we're being shown so far, I feel that the conclusion that she is a slut is rather shallow.
Alright, putting the whole 'slut or not' debate aside, what do you actually think she was planning to do with a complete stranger in a hotel room, then?

I don't have a definitive answer, my only assumption thus far that is whatever "it" turns out to be will be something wacky that nobody was expecting it to be which would keep in line with Luna being "quirky".

Someone mentioned BDSM stuff a few pages ago but considering Luna left the hotel so quickly after the guy showed up I don't think it's that.

Honestly, I understand where people are coming from with those alternative perspectives. It’s just that there’s literally zero evidence or hints in the story pointing toward any of them yet. So I really don’t know how I’m supposed to view it from another angle while still keeping it consistent with the other chapters—or making any sense at all. In the latest chapter, just like I said, she literally arranged for a guy to come meet her at the hotel, even if we don't know what for and nothing ended up happening. It’s pretty clear the author wasn't baiting us here; he just outright confirmed that they didn't do it.

And that’s exactly why it’s hard for me to see it from any other angle or find those theories convincing—at least until the manga actually reveals an explanation that makes more sense than just arranging to hook up at a hotel.
And this isn't even touching on all the stuff that was never properly explained from the earlier chapters—like the kiss, the used condom, the guy yelling on the other end of the phone call, and everything else

Look, I get what you're trying to say, but at the end of the day, there's literally zero evidence or context pointing toward her doing anything else. If there's actual proof, by all means, enlighten me. I'm not being biased here, I'm literally just connecting the dots based on the context the author has actually given us.
The author deliberately made the surface-level context appear to be the worst case scenario right from the beginning, always had been. Literally from when she first appeared in front of the MC appearing to be a gyaru, a huge change from how she looked like in the past.

"Is Luna a slut or not?" had been a thing literally from chapter 1.

Every bait so far that had been revealed to be something completely different from what most people expected didn't get their hard evidence until the author decided to show the truth.

This is true when Naoto caught Luna masturbating, when Ryuuji turned out that he didn't get to smash Luna despite what the rumours told him after baiting the readers with his question to Naoto, which initially sounded as if Ryuuji was asking Naoto if got his turn with Luna as well yet, and now the Hotel Happening where people thought she 100% smashed during the skipped time but it turned out she didn't. Turned out, Fell For It Again Awards were rewarded left and right.

What we can work with everything else out are character's backstories, which is sadly not enough to definitively make a conclusion simply because the author is keen on keeping the truth behind "Luna slut or not" a secret as long as possible, as it basically replaced the usual "will they or won't they" trope being the thing that keeps the people guessing.

People are considering alternative perspectives based on the inprint this series is under and because of what Suga has already done with this series, I do believe Suga was baiting but overplayed their hand and was not prepared for fan reactions.

That's completely fine, what you'll find is that things that "make sense" with this series don't turn out to always be the case and Suga can and will reveal something else when they're ready.

Except Luna calling a random guy to a hotel room literally confirms there was no fake-out—she simply bailed and went home before anything happened. If the author actually wanted to bait us, it would’ve ended up being something ridiculous like meeting her dad or a wacky misunderstanding like that. But here, the manga straight-up told us she legitimately met the guy in a hotel room, she just didn’t go through with it.

But a fake out did happen, Naoto jumped to the conclusion that Luna had sex and so did alot of readers but now we've found that she didn't have sex.

Thinking about it, Naoto will probably ask Luna in one of the next chapters about the hotel encounter because only we as the readers know nothing happened, Naoto is still operating under his same belief and that's when we'll get the second fake out, that Luna was never meeting up with this guy for sex.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if future chapters start feeling weird and full of blatant asspulls. The latest chapter clearly felt like a desperate attempt to suddenly dodge the NTR/BSS route by just having her run away. It really feels like the author did a complete 180 on his original plans—whether out of fear of fan backlash, getting axed, or straight-up being forced by his editor to rewrite it.

That's definitely a possibility. Interpreting it as sex is just the simplest, most straightforward deduction, after all. But what I'm far more curious about is how the author is actually going to justify her reasons and make her look good. If her real excuse turns out to make zero sense, people are just going to assume it was a last-minute rewrite anyway.

It will be more obvious what's going on next chapter, I don't mean with giving us more info on Luna but rather with how the story goes going forward, if Luna suddenly starts giving Naoto more information then yea, there was probably some changes behind the scenes perhaps.

This is how I imagine Luna trying to justify her “сasual” encounters with other guys to Naoto, all just to avoid “ruining” her relationship with him. I’m so fucking fed up with the whole "Luna" and “Luna-nee” thing (it’s not like she has schizophrenia).

Anyone else in Naoto’s position would’ve dumped her by now. Between the rumors, the memories of her kissing/going out with multiple guys, her selfish decision to keep using a dating app when feelings were already involved, and her contradictory mindset of “I swore I wouldn’t hide anything from him again because he hated me for it once, but I still have to keep hiding things,” Luna comes across as an unnecessarily complicated character who constantly contradicts herself.
She makes you think that, for your own well-being and mental health, the best thing you can do is stay away from people like her.

Unfortunately, since Naoto is a typical Japanese MC, he’ll probably have to put up with her until the very end and accept her for who she is, whether she’s promiscuous or not, even when he has an absolute catch like the girl with the sawtooth teeth right there.

The only thing I’m sure of is that the moment Suga reveals that Luna has slept with another man (even if it happened just once and was when she was dating her only ex-boyfriend), the fandom will go straight for her throat like a pack of hyenas.

From what I've seen, jap fans (atleast some) don't care so much about whether she's had sex or not, they've become tired of the baiting and just want the truth.

Alright, I think I've laid out pretty much everything on my mind. What about you guys? I'd love to hear your perspectives and how you see it

No idea. First I had the feeling that the author would pull the "virgin all along". Then it seemed certain that the pull would be "former slut". Now I have no idea. It can be either, but while "former slut" seems too on the nose, "virgin all along" seems too tropey.

But the point remains that I do not like the way he is obfuscating the facts. Like I've written before: there's a difference between withholding information to build suspense and arbitrarily hiding things the viewpoint character should reasonably see or hear.

Naoto not hearing anything but Luna's voice on the other side of a paper thin wall. Luna talking to someone and hearing what they say but the other person's dialogues are hidden. Hidden by door kiss (?) with a hanging string of saliva...

There might be reasonable explanations for all of the above and I hope there are and they will all make sense. But there's also the danger that many of the seeds will be forgotten and the mangaka will pull an ending out of somewhere.

At this point I'm really not concerned with anything in-universe. I just hope we have some competent writing that will make everything make sense in hindsight.

The door kiss scene is getting swept under the rug more and more everyday. The entirety of chapter 4 is so fucking out of place. The whole thing with her kissing a guy in the past. The conversation in the kitchen with a guy(?) that doesn't exist.kissing someone at the door and pushing him inside but then the guy just evaporates.

I reckon that's one of the only chapters who will not be explained by the ending of the manga. By now it hasn't being explained and we are reaching the 30 chapters by now.

Once again soft-retcon, the whole chapter is weird.

Welcome to Schrödinger's Slut: The Manga.

New to the series, huh? There is no explanation from the author about that condom yet, it's just there.

I could drop a really long post from when I was profiling the main heroine, but I don't know how much that would help someone new.
