"Superior fucking intelligence" btw and she still couldn't decipher that what her father's request was the cruelest thing you could do to your own child. Even in death, hes still guilt tripping his own child after telling her that he never loved her as his own flesh and blood but as a substitute for his first love
Child desperate for love discovers that their only link didn't actually love them, can't cope with it, and decides to cling to the lie and bullshittery of their shit ass parent. Chooses their best course of action is to divert all their power and ability to torment another victim in this whole charade.
The more we learn about Fuu-chan's dad the more shitty he looks as both a person and father. Ran away from it all and cursing his own daughter to live in such a way by leaving that messed up message. This is ontop of blaming his other daughter for something she had no control over but he did and hoping she wasn't born so that his skeletons arent revealed instead of owning up to his mistakes
There are 2 reasons for this. First, she's working with incomplete information, but more importantly, strong emotions are clouding her judgment. This is a common problem for highly intelligent people; instead of using intelligence to arrive at a correct conclusion, the tendency is to use intelligence to find a justification for an emotional decision.
In her defense she was raised into thinking that way by her father hence why she never questioned how fucked up it was regardless of how smart she is. All that would cross her mind if anything at all is " im different from them all so whatever they say or do doesnt apply to me"
It also doesnt help that she's emotionally unstable as well

I agree, and I think the characterization is actually good. She's a "genius" in the sense that she's good at academic subjects, and I guess social engineering. But she's inept at interpersonal relationships. Most people change parts of themselves for to accommodate different social circles, but she has an obsession with people liking the "real" her

Now that the translation has reached this point I can say that Futaba really is an idiot and scum, completely punishing the wrong people for what they had no control over when they really wanted to be friends with her.
It's beyond frustrating after all this crap she gets forgiven in the end and because a new loop happens her "present" self doesn't have to live with the shit she did.
So Futaba's too far gone to be reasoned with at this point, so my best guess is that Yotsuha and Uiichi find some way to negate the threat of her crowd of unwilling accomplices? Futaba's looks axe crazy, but I don't think so could do anything to drastic by herself.
Maybe Uiichi and Mitsuha figures something out, since I'm not sure if Yotsuha can think straight with how shaken up she is from this revelation (and her time watch plan b being cooked)
besides the dad being a r3tard until d3ath, his wish for Futaba was to love his real self... which even in genius was super selfish and he clearly looked down on people, but he wished to himself that Yotsuba wouldn't be born, but that's pretty much what the the Dad did to Futaba, he gave her the love as she was the daughter of Kazuha... I genuinely thought at first that Fuu hated her, because she was the actual kid that the dad would have loved as it was the daughter to the love of his life, but as a friggin' SOCIOPATH, for him maintaining how society sees him is more important than Kazuha love and pretty much what represents.
BUT funny enough, the dad NEVER on his letter wrote to friggin' hate on Yotsuba or he never realized he was played (like to hate on the actual villain of the story), so even in genius he was a moron in the face of a psycho. So and that's why the series in the end will give us a ... holy sh!t this is bad, the villain MAIN PURPOSE of revenge, was being a FATHERCON

PS: the wife is friggin' unlucky she get cheated on by a genius moron, said moron off himself and his last gift is making her daughter a serial killer mastermind, holy crap, I don't think she deserved any of that hahaha.

There is potentially a way to save Fu's dad. Yotsu can't prevent her own birth, but she might be able to arrange for her mother to die before she corners Fu's father. This is the perfect opportunity for Yotsu to explain that, but will she?
