whoa pretty nice seeing this getting translated. I've been curious about it since it was announced and Barbara is one of my favorite Tezuka manga by a long shot (and I also really liked the live-action movie adaptation that came out a few years ago)
Thanks a lot for this!
Brazilian here and I've read the chapter like 2 weeks ago or something.
For the people curious about it, Hagimoto has been interacting with brazilians on his facebook profile for quite a long time, like the past 2 years or so, and he grew very interested in brazilian culture, and so, someone...
I already knew how it ends because I was curious and looked after it but dang... it surely ends with closure but I don't think I like the idea of Kawatarou dying in the end, despite being for a good cause. It was too abrupt but given this manga was axed in Jump, can't be helped
It was a fine...
Just the final chapter left!
This fight reminds me the final arc of Tar-chan to some extent. The monster is pretty similar and I'm also surprised at how this manga, despite being apparently axed, still managed to tell his "full story". Ok that there's still like 30 pages to wrap it up but yet I...
Congrats on catching up with such a legendary manga, but mind if I ask a dumb question: where are chapters 258 and 265? Did you miss them or is it just a numbering thing since volume chapters aren't really numbered? (I haven't read this part yet)
Really nice to see this being scanlated!! Finally!
I know it'll take a while for you to properly get around it, as you said, but knowing you plan to do it is exciting news, thanks a lot. You're one of the few groups I check here on mangadex just because almost everyday I know something...
yeah, I was just asking out of curiosity, there are very few people deeply (sorta) aware of Tokuhiro's work in the west and I just happen to be one of them LMAO
But still, thanks a lot for this! I feel actually happy to see more of this guy's work finally translated (I managed to read Tar-chan...
Whoa, really unexpected to see this getting scanlated. As a huge Tokuhiro Masaya fan, I thank you a lot!
Just a dumb question: I noticed that the raws used here are apparently from the taiwanese edition, so do they happen to have any censorship in the dicks? I don't remember dicks being...
This was really good!
Ishinomori's art was arguably at its peak and I really like how concise this story is and how it still leaves room for mistery and wondering. Remi's relationship with Jun kinda reminded me of 90s shoujo manga with a heroine infatuated with a mysterious male lead with a...
What a trip, as soon as I saw it was Tanaka's I rushed as soon as I could to read it.
This was a ton of fun. I think I still prefer some other of his works, but this one will be in my mind for quite a while, specially thinking about the ending, which was totally not what I expected at all. The...
This was short but interesting. Norakuro is often overlooked by most people when talking about history of manga. It was interesting, and expected, to see it being Ishinomori's first contact with manga, just like with many artists from his generation, Tezuka included.
Very touching short story. I really enjoy seeing this side of Ishinomori. Really curious to see more of this compilation later on.
Thanks a lot for this and happy holidays!
