I mean, his lover told him "I'm going over to your bitch stepmom's because she 'invited' me for lunch. Do you want to spit in her face together with me?" How could he miss such an opportunity?Tia invited Perez to lunch with a woman he absolutely despises...and he still came over like she texted him she was alone in her mansion.
That's a sign of true love, alright. Well, that and a lot of other stuff.
Probably something like an defaced piece of Perez's mother's jewelry. If not something purposefully rigged to harm her at a later point in time.I am guessing a piece of jewelry that has some really negative significance. The Emperess thinks she is way to smart to do something crass like a finger.
Might be reaching a little, but in a way, the empress is like Tia, if she had been given Larane's intended fate. Unable to inherit and lead her family, she's forced to derive power from the whims of the capricious emperor and her dumbass son, unlike Tia, who's allowed to hold power on her own and isn't forced to rely on the men in her life for it. No wonder she became bitter and resentful.Honestly, really love the empress as a villain. Tia without her foreknowledge would be cooked. The only sympathy i feel for the empress is that she implied to only be the monster her own family turned her into. That and a husband who literally cheated on her so many times that she feared for her own position makes me hate the greedy emperor more if i am honest?
I love the art in this episode especially much. Being able to see our MCS have a direct verbal battle with the empress is exciting. And thank goodness for Tia's internal monologuing kinda spelling everything out for us. I'm not very politically savvy but I feel like I'm laur3l hearing her explanations and things. The empress looks sharper than usual perhaps bc she finds our MCs to be more of an engaging "target" so she has to lock in. Very cool I loved it 😊
See? this is what i mean. Like i hate her but i understand her you know? I sincerely hate the emperor far more than her simply cause he doesn't seem at all relatable.Might be reaching a little, but in a way, the empress is like Tia, if she had been given Larane's intended fate. Because you are tired with the current state of world politics where nothing made sense and all the winning party is what most would call the "Bad Guy"?Why am I this invested in a story about politics?
Ah, yeah. That'd explain why the empress jumps to Gallahan* as the next family head, not Shananet or Tia. She can't comprehend a woman going so far on her own merits.Might be reaching a little, but in a way, the empress is like Tia, if she had been given Larane's intended fate.
