Being completely honest this whole thing is really dumb. Because really, think of the 2 possibilities here.

1. The hero actually defeated 2 of the elite four you couldn't defeat in decades in a manner you can't even fathom, AND YOU'RE DIRECTLY ATTACKING HIM? think about it, if this guy can mop the floor with entities that killed millions why the fuck would you risk attacking him directly, why would you risk the lives of the 6 by being even in the same room? This is plain stupidity.

2. He's a demon lord spy, in which case you are once again risking all of your lives by even being in the same room, if he was a spy planning to do damage to the kingdom he'd be hardpressed to do more damage than by killing everyone present.

It's always like this when the isekai story has depth. When the hero saves the world, they don't know what to do. Treading the wrong steps leads them to fear the hero, regardless of how many lives they saved, which is stupid but humans are stupid and well even if some don't wanna say it, it's politics at it's finest.

"Has depth" doesn't mean "everyone is a complete imbecile who doesn't even understand their own interests", no matter how much you might think the "real world" is like that. Usually it's more of creating a victim complex that the MC can take revenge for or gloriously defeat in order to make everyone impressed and treat the readers to a bunch of .__. and >:O faces from the peanut gallery.

Some stories just make the hero the king or let them live on their lives but I fear the former is more realistic as time passes.

Don't project your modern life backwards into history or into fantasy. I get the temptation since isekai is quite literally about moving modern ideas and sensibilities into a place they don't belong, but that doesn't make it any better. An isekai that has depth will first and foremost understand that modern ideas and concepts come from modern truths, and can't be moved wholesale into a world where pissing off the hero has him liable to toss the entire castle into the Sun.
