Tbh after seeing how some translation group straight up gatekeep chapters and make people pay to read it despite their translation having many mistakes and end up ruining the manga or translation groups that dont translate a manga for months and just bulk upload when someone snipe.

I think sniping is a good thing because its either the manga gets sniped and catch up to the japanese version or we wait another 5 month for a new chapter. I have nothing against flame scans they are amazing but having to wait 5 month because the whole community doesnt like sniping feels dumb to me.

For me there's the matter of quality and donations too. I assume it's just 1 guy doing all the work, I can't imagine they have too much experience either considering the quality of this chapter.
The next part is a bit more of a personal take but as I both scanlate and donate, I think I got the right to state my opinion that I don't exactly like asking for donations and especially garner sympathy for it. Its a hobby first and foremost. Like with any type of other content creation like YT or Twitch, you do it cuz you enjoy it, not expecting to be paid

Edit: As for the whole snipping thing, yeah, it's fine, flame is kinda bitches for technical 'claiming' the series for themselves while barely working on it. It takes me about 10 hours to solo a 18 page manga, so about 20 hours if we're being generous (redrawing and especially translation can greatly vary in time depending on skill level). Split that between 3 or 4 people and it really shouldn't take months a chapter

I don't even care if it's sniping. Flame always sit on a bunch of good stories and then refuses to actually do anything with them for the longest time ever until someone like this comes along and catches us up with the raws. They held Konjiki no Wordmaster hostage for YEARS, drip feeding us chapters like, once every 7 months, just unfair how they do that.
