i honestly wonder why there is people got annoyed with well-written lore, characterization, and even the battle scene in this manga. this got a dark turn? all of people and monsters that was in the way of kikuru never morally or ethically good. this ark is too long? so you want the villain somewhat evil just because. what's the fun in that.

my tips for you to be able to enjoy manga is always not put your past experience in expecting the story to be told just like you want. it's fine to dislike things but having the ability to appreciate the author's effort would do you more good than complain because of little things that i assume you just have a bad day at that time you read the manga

That is the idea but there is something with him being an elf that makes being truly out of mana really hard to achieve.
